Multi Theft Auto: Vice City:1.
Problem: I am using MTA 0.5. I don't see any servers online.
Solution: You need to get MTA 0.5r2. It adds the External Server Browser, (among various other changes), which uses Game-Monitor to display servers instead of the now-defunct All-Seeing Eye service. Browse servers with this new server browser instead of the one built into the MTA client itself.

Problem: I am using MTA 0.5r2. I don't see any servers online.
Solution: Check the bottom of the External Server Browser. Does it say "0/0"? If so, Game-Monitor may be experiencing issues. You can still enter the server's connection information manually into the MTA client, and click Connect. The server listing may also be available for 0.5 and 0.5r2 online
here. The server listing may also be available for 0.5.1 online
here.
3.
Problem: I am running a nightly build of MTA 0.5.1, and I cannot connect to any 0.5/0.5r2 servers!
Solution: MTA 0.5.1 nightly builds will only connect to their corresponding server versions. Argonath RPG does not use a nightly server, and MTA 0.5.1 is not released yet. Nightly builds are only meant for testing purposes, so please use MTA 0.5r2 if you wish to play in Argonath RPG, and on other 0.5/0.5r2-versioned servers. MTA 0.5.1 is not cross-compatible with 0.5 or 0.5r2, and will require server owners, and their respective players, to upgrade to it after it is released. Until then, do not use it for gaming purposes.

Problem: MTA says I am using a modified client! What do I do?
Solution #1: Set the MTA External Server Browser
and the MTA client to "Run As Administrator" through their respective Properties -> Compatibility menus, if running the Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System, or above.
Solution #2: Try adding the MTA External Server Browser
and the MTA client to your Data Execution Prevention exceptions list. Some computers do not like MTA's programs running within DEP. This bug is also known to affect VC:MP, SA:MP, and MTA:SA due to the way they hook into GTA's memory.
Solution #3: Make sure you have no modifications installed to GTA. MTA has a very old anti-cheat system. It does not like cheaters in any form...even the unintentional ones!
5.
Problem: MTA keeps disconnecting me for "Suspected Trainer Usage".
Solution: This is caused by one of two things. Either you are using a trainer and trying to cheat in the game, or you have something running on your computer that contains a keyword common to many trainers, such as the words "hack", "cheat", "blood", and a variety of others. Music in media players and web browsers containing these words, or even partial ones like "s
hack" or "
bloody" can also trigger it.
6.
Problem: GTA crashes at the loading bar screen when running it through MTA.
Solution: Make sure your "VC Version" is set to the correct version when running GTA through the MTA client. The wrong version can often lead to crashes caused by the wrong memory addresses being loaded. Modifications to the game can also cause this, as can unauthorized ".asi" files in your GTA's directory that should not be there, or are left over from older versions of MTA installations.
