Like I told you Ingame, GTA IV for PC is coming with a lot of bugs for most people and it's not sold in brazil yet, in both steam and retail versions.
But planning for the future: the specs I have are:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2,5GHz
4 GB Ram (WinXP only recognizes up to 3,24, so in my case, I use 3,24.)
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512 mb.

With these specs I play:

Crysis in High (can't put Very High, the game just wont allow me, maybe requires Vista?)
GRID in Ultra
All source games (CS:S, DOD:S, Half Life 2, etc...) in max config and with 120 fps.

It isn't the best pc around, and I'm sure a lot of people have better specs here in argo, but for a brazilian pc, it's sure the best you can get for an "acceptable" price. It costed around 2,000R$. (No monitor, I had a monitor before) I know, its expensive, but you wont regret it.

PS: I haven't Overclocked anything on my PC.

Also, be careful when buying a Nvidia card: People tend to think that the higher the number, the faster it is. And its wrong. I had an Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT 512mb, but its a lot worse in performance than my new 8800 GT. Actually, there is very little difference between the geforce 8800GT and 9800GT, they have pratically the same performance, the difference is just a little feature that the technician once explained to me, I don't remember it exactly so I'm not going to say, but it's something I'll never use.

About the motherboard, I have no idea.

Please correct me if I said anything wrong.

Good luck!

So its not completely 512mb?
Is the motherboard a good motherboard?
I have found out about 8600GT seems compatible with Pentium 4 and not with intel core duo 2?

Get Core 2 Quad Q9450 buy 9800GT (which is almost the same as 8800GT but it has another features like PureHD video, PhisX thing and CUDA i think)  and 3Gb or 4Gb of RAM and if u like to game buy a 500Gb HD  cause when you start windows at the first time it will take you some space, i got a 640Gb but its 588Gb instead and i got 347Gb free so as you see 250Gb is getting lower (not to mention my 60Gb HD  )

Core 2 Quad 9300 at 2.5Ghz ; nVidia GeForce 9800GT 2.4Gb (1024Mb dedicated) ; 4Gb RAM

4 GB Ram (WinXP only recognizes up to 3,24, so in my case, I use 3,24.)
so does Vista :(
With that specs i can run Crysis at Very High 1024x760 with 20+ FPS, Btw it costed 1200€

I got exactly the same! And i bought it for... I think about 1200€ (Thats about 1900$). Even the monitor is the same.

I think mostly its the motherboard that recocnizes RAM. Correct me if im wrong.

Asus i pretty ok. But things you have out there are pretty ok. Or do you want a GTX 280?

Well, but my BIOS says I got 2gb x2 (Dual Channel), and says I got 4gb so I think its the OS fault. o.O

wata i rlly suggest goint for vista 64 bit on that mashine..

I didn't like Vista first... It uses some unecessary stuff on the PC (e.g. more ram...) and it had lots of compatibility issues at the beginning. They must have solved this then. I'll keep the suggestion in mind, thanks man. :)
