Yes,the RP of Argonath is dying out....Whereever you see,people are shooting for no reasons,using smilies in /l,being cops for money,abusing,and stuff....And people are just jacking cars instead of calling taxis.

We need to find a solution.

The missions in Events is a good way.MrEventMan is my friend,he was gonna make an RP event for 20k,but he had to go as soon as the mission started. He gave the prize money to Daxx before he went, he'll make the event as soon as he gets the money back.

That is not our fault, and it is not even an problem to use smilies... it even helps you in the RP..

For example,

Without Smiley: /l dude, don't you have a driver license?!
With Smiley: /l dude, don't you have a driver license?! xD

See, the one with smiley comes alot better on me and others then the one without the Smiley, I can also use another example's...

If you do an job.. you always do it for money... even you do..

However, I agree that the RP should be better when being an cop, medic, or whatever RP job. Even I suck in RP'ing (while I not fail in it).

Except the smilies one.. all other things are just rulebreaking or things we ALWAYS do IRL.. and if you see people rulebreaking, report them.. something we cannot do with it! Do you see an new person on Argonath RPG, help them! If people want to be cop for money, then just let them alone and RP with people that can RP.. you can always refuse to RP with people, and if cops abuse you, just report them... it's their and the admins problems, and not ours!

That is an option.. not lack of RP.. if taxi driving doesn't make much money, why not find an better job?

  I have been visiting a few times this holiday, under different accounts, and this is what I observed:

Non admin account (and non ARPD):
- Less RP interaction with regulars and ARPD. They seemed to ignore RP, even if it hit them in the face. Some regulars participated brilliantly, even in abstract RP (such as being a ninja, vanquishing evil spirits from the Corleone Mansion etc).
- Cadets were more receptive to RP from another cadet. Had some great times with other cadets, tought many cadets how to RP the fun way, as opposed to the ARPD way. Included drug stings (succesful), speed traps, corruption, questioning/ interrogation etc... 

Admin account (With ARPD):
- More RP interaction with regulars and ARPD.. of course... still was patrolling with cadets when I could, and hiring people for jobs... not ignoring them...
  Good RP interaction by most, but as expected...
From a simple abstract patrol idea (initially started with 'Rapist patrol' - where a rapist is released from chains onto criminals. Funny warnings can be used via megaphone.) - the Zombie patrol- A patrol which released a zombie to eat the criminal. This RP evolved into a mass outbreak Shawn of the Dead style RP which involved nearly all of the server! Zombies, police, rescue operations. medics, and of course me, a ninja cop ( I need to get round to reporting that bug)..., who's abstract patrol idea caused mass chaos to break out.

So my point...

  There still seems to be a RP barrier between ARPD and cadets. Probably because there are a few cadets who do not want to RP, but ARPD should use their roleplaying skills to show everyone. Similar with admins (although admins can be too busy to RP, so I let them off a little). You should RP with all players as if they are regulars and your friends! (Ideally... but I'm not saying there is no exceptions).
  Admins need to spark large RP, as admin powers automatically label you a role model for half the server. People will listen to you.  Even something as simple as working in a cluckin bell dressed as a chicken for 15min will attract people, and probably cause a war against burger shot or something (yeah, it does). Im not talking about events, like carshow or DM (I mean paintball), just good old  FUN RP! Just about every role can be funny and entertaining for yourself and those around!
 
So is the RP dieing? In short- no. You get out, what you put in. Much like a fire. To get the RP started you need a spark, an idea, and maybe the support of a regular or admin. Even if the idea is stupid. Even if the roleplay is not even from GTA. You could be a hobo claiming to be Sonic the Hedgehog, running around trying to steal peoples rings etc...

  So what we need for more RP?
- More paid RP civilian jobs from rich regulars (You know who you are.)
- More RP started by influential players that can involve others (Being excluded from RP is heart breaking )
- More interaction with new players and cadets. You will be surprised by how many players can RP, with a little guidance.

Anyway,
Keep playing, and you will undoubtedly find the RP your looking for on Argonath.

Indeed with legend,but yesterday i meet an AAWSOMEE RP with some citizens (i was cop at the time). I was on regular patrol, i passed market and saw 4 peopel aming at 1 man who tried to robb them, when i putted my sirens on they all holsterd weapons and got on there motorbikes. I quickly steped out and aimied my gun at them all and told them to get off with hands up, they co-operated (all of them). I was still only cop and called backup without any respons over radio, but i managed to cuff all 5 citizens ALONE and putted them against a wall.. before i hade chance to finish RP i had to go due IRL issuse..

My point is that was the first time all invovled parts of the citizens did NOT drive off or start shooting at me. They CO-OPERATED with me as only cop on scen. I enjoyed it and if i had not be needed to go i had payed them money just for the fun RP.. without loong pursiuts or gunfight..

That RP situation was ended with 1 man arrested for attempt robbery and the remaining 4 citizen was free to go what i read on a report from a fellow officer and cadets/freecops who arrived just before i left..

There is good chance still to make good RP. But cops have often reasons (not all times) to use firearms when suspects escape, and often the suspects keep run or shoot till they almost dead or dead. when they almostare dead they gets killed due late surrender.. Advise or wish to criminals, try surrender more often and we hopefully can change the END of RP with investigationby police at PD instead of kill u then continue with next criminal..

But also COPS Learn to give more than 1 warning before u use /su on a man who makes a small crime.. also be patcient, tickets are more usefull then /su but ALSOverbal warnings is a usefull method if the citizens follow thems

Jeez. Haydens guide was perfect, follow that and you'll get ALOT more people on the server RPing. Many veterans have left just because of the fact that people mostly just cares about coolz car derbyzz and moneyz from eventzz! That kinda includes me to.
