Yeh, I bought a new headset today. First time I connected it it was working fine, I was able to listen music from there. Then I started to set all audio settings to get the mic working, which ofcourse didn't help. Now I've ended up that in MSN when I have mic connected and I have a voice conversation on, it records all the audio from my computer, not from the mic itself. I tried to get the settings back to normal, which I think I've already done - no effect. Any help?  :(

I don't think it's his sound card drivers...

x32 -bit XP. And I did download the latest sound drivers - no effect. I mean I can speak in Teamspeak but not on msn. And in TS they hear my voice sooo low, though I've putted all settings to MAX and I'm almost shouting to the microphone.

I did, didn't help that much. Also now I ran into a new problem, when I have my headset connected, Realtek spams the pop-up that which plugin I connected, even after I have chosen it and clicked OK. And it's kinda annoying when it comes each 2 seconds. :S Also, when I connect the headset speakers to the actual speakers, no pop-ups will show up, but when to the front panel - hell breaks loose. either your actual port is broken or its just short circuiting, try rebooting and plug it in again

Reboot didn't help, but I think I found the problem. I have 6 different audio ports on my motherboard, and then the audio and mic port on the front panel. I think the circuiting came from that, that I had the headphone speaker connected, AND the actual speakers connected and on. Problem disapiered when I turned my actual speakers off and reconnected my headset. So that's for that problem, now the only problem is the original one... :P

And how do you think system restore would help...? I've used it many times and it only adds/deletes/modifieds some files when making the restore. And as I can think, it has nothing to do with this. :P

Go to control paenl, sound/audio devices or something and set the recording part as your default soundboard/speakers or something

Go to control paenl, sound/audio devices or something and set the recording part as your default soundboard/speakers or something

Double-click on the "volume" -icon next to the clock. Go to Options -> Properties and choose "Audio Input" for Mixer Device. Make sure you have ticked the "Stereo Mix", and click ok. Untick the "Mute" from Stereo Mix and adjust the volume of it. Go back to Properties and change the Mixer Device back to Audio Output, and click ok.

Done. :)
