So who's a roleplayer?

So who's a roleplayer? Thats should be simple question... But lets say it stright, 90% of this community (SAMP). People active on forums and server. Have NO idea how to roleplay, whats an roleplay. Last days you could notice topic like "The RP is dying out!Ahh ". And many many other posts, with complains about bad roleplay etc, etc. And from sercond hand, topics like "Rate the RP of the person above you!". 611 replies, 3807 views... and what? great roleplayer 10/10, 9/10... i dont know you but 7/10... Its total bulshit. So we all are great roleplayers, but there is no roleplay on server and is dying out? 1337 roleplayers and no roleplay. Total parody.
Lets se, we have multiple scripts that helps in roleplay, helps earn money (bizz propertys). And we have "old SAMP roleplayer" who have everythin... house, business, car... he is member of bla bla bla, and he is bla bla bla in there. Most of these people are selfish, gready. Locked in smal communitys as clans, gangs etc. etc. These guys dont accept new people. Personaly? When did you help new player on this server, not give him 100$ and yeah i help... Not say go read rules its here. But explain, what to do... how, show him. Maybe you dont know?

Lets see, what "jobs" are common used. Freecop, ARPD, Gang member, kidnaps... and on this mostly ends, ohh and events. Cops chase criminals, criminals runs away... and circle ends. Half server of criminals and second of cops. Ofc there is abuse from boths sides, gang members come to random people and cops "money or die"... and cops suspecting for stupid reasons like "parked on wrong side of road", "bunnyhoping", and this is just begining. When someone try roleplay, he is simply ignored. People wach on him and are in shock.

When was only MTA:VC, what people do there? We dont have there scripts like here, no bizzes with entrance fee. Ofc there was police forces and criminals. But also you could go to bar and buy food, pizza or drink mostly any time. Someone was selling somethin, not just drugs. Someone was driving Mr.Whopie and he was selling ice creams. Taxi drivers, bank robberys, car service with repairs... etc. etc. It was live city. When new guy joined, always someone could explain him what to do. Belive me they are interested at start, how i can buy car, house... how i cant this or this. Not only scam, "its private place gtfo". You can also help on server. Dont ask what we can do for you, but what you can do for server.

People were helping eachother. Why? Why we are here? For fun, meat friends. And what we have, all the time complaints. Personaly for us, admins it is job, for some hard one. Mostly because of you. For new player its easy to forgive, he dont know about rules etc. etc. But you? You are 1337 roleplayers, and sometimes act like litle kids (no offence for youg members). About asskising. What you know about this... if someone want to be nice, whats wrong in this? Its called culture. Hello...Thank you... Please... im sorry. I would be happy see situation when regular say to new player. Please dont do that (and explain), instead of OMFG DmEr.... yarrr.

I was waching, server for some time. On SAMP you have many possibilitys for roleplay. Example, christmas place... these who was on christmas party remember, that was there about 40 people at once... or more. There were place for sell food, drinks, pool. Does anyone used them? Why? For money... 40 people! at once. No any invention. In old times there was really cool people. I remember year ago, fashion show... lol "year ago". (really cool thin).Two months ago, i was in bar... owner was selling that place because no customers "two months ago". It was good location. You ask why i know this? I can also do /changename. If you want places for roleplay, tell us! We can make state bars, with free entrance, no stock, no entrance fee... everyone allowed.

Why make such topic? To who i send my complain? At the end, think... are you true roleplayer? Think on your reactions.

Most people play here to earn money and not to earn money by Roleplay.. A few people they dont even know what Roleplay means and they are just cops chasing criminals for money..
Its hard to find players that are able to roleplay realy good..

For example. I was roleplaying to suicide my self , jumping off the building of SAPD, there was only 2 guys that tried to help me, others was telling me Jump Jump and Jump. Well that is really non Rping...

About helping new players is not because you are private or something, you may not be in a good mood, or really busy.

The solution about Rp ? I really dont know, pay really much the players to RP?

Well this is right but all i have done is offerd help to new player,Mostly i get jacked or attacked,after this i stay away from this guy.

You are 200 percent correct. everybody is unhappy, complaints, even when SAMP has alot of RP things.
I recently joined MTA VC and VCMP and, it's correct, People have patience with each other, they help rookies. In SAMP they should flame you when you dear to ask something.

About the gangs/clans etc. Some people live in there world (i don't speak about all clans) But when a clan/gang comes and ruin a RP, then the victims get punished sometimes. And that isn't the way it should work either.

even I recognize me in some things you have said. before my last bann ( long time ago) I was a pain in the ass for everybody, i was the things you said. it was hard to open my eyes and to realise i was wrong in the things i was doing. I think alot of players are like me before, no patience, flame, being angry when you ask something, not responding when rookies ask something, etc etc. I can admit, i do'nt help every new player, but as lonterm argonath RPG player i should help everybody who asks me something, and i cannot ignore it.

I think most people live on an island, and when a new one/stranger arrives, the person of the island, ignores the stranger, and thinks ''poblem solved, but no its not solved. The person of the island cna go to the other side of his island, away of the stranger, but the stranger is  still on his island... people evade questions, we shopuld all be more polite and helplful to each one of us on argonath even i should!

OMFG. Someone finally stepped in and said it. Those comments were stuck on my throat for AGES, but if I was the one who said it, none would take it seriously.

Where is the free RP these days? The server isn't all about money, house, bizz and car!
That's why I've always prefered 0.2.1, no offense. It was less realistic, but people could just /kill and BAM they're playing another role.
The majority of the players didn't waste their time with house and car, but on the roleplay itself! Roleplay flowed naturally.
The players weren't divided in factions, which is responsible for big part of the flames in main chat today.
You could be a soldier when you wanted, a russian mafia member, a gangbanger, cop, SWAT, FBI, Pizzaboy, Clown and much more, and whatever you chose you didn't have to spend on weapons.
True. There was more deathmatch. But it is the admin's job to stop it.
That for me, is Free Roleplay.
And that's what I today, fight to recover.

ok i aint a guy playing on samp but i read it and i see allot of things that even i spotted (on the samp topics)
every-one is complaining about the rp yes..
every-one is just trying to make money all the time yes..
what i dont know is how they act to new people and how they rp in server and stuff but i do know that if those problems will come to mta:sa when the scripts come over there we need to solve those before it gets to much..

about me in mta:
i help new players not always, but when they want to learn i am there..
in mta we do allot of rp even when we are just with 2 persons online we rp..
i know i dont always rp sometimes i just hang arround or do some work for other people like helping them etc..

finaly i hope those big problems wont get to mta:sa cause when it is like you discribe it i wont stay long if it cant be solved...

I don't agree with a lot of points, mostly because I hate this so called "free" roleplay & prefer another style of roleplay.
I really don't give a fuck about houses, money, events like the Destruction Derby, all I am looking for is serious roleplay, but it is rare.
