So who's a roleplayer?

Some of you dont understand who's a roleplayer. In simple way. Person who can play diferent ways/roles. Its not just my opinion, its common used in all RPG games. It means, you can be criminal or cop... but also you can have simple job like hot dog seller. You dont have to be gangsta or cop 24/7. Roleplayers use all characters that game offers. In GTA its hard, i dont tell you use 100 skins, lol. But dont stop in one road. Be creative.

You can be a roleplayer if you imagine to play 525269526 characters once a day on a "shitty" way, but you're also a roleplayer if you stick to one role / character and make the best out of it. The last point is actually better in my opinion. It has nothing to do with creativity if you play as cop, medic, criminal, mobster, hot-dog seller, business owner, ... on an idiotic way. So you want to say that it is not roleplay if you stick to your character, build up a network to other people, find your place in the "roleplay society" and keep on developing your skills / character trades?
If you really think so it is you who doesn't know what roleplay is.

100% Agree. You do NOT have to be able to RP different characters to be a good roleplayer.
If you stick to ONE character and RP it well, you can still be a very good Roleplayer.

What about comparing someone who can play only one role good and someone who can roleplay, eg. eight roles in the same level?
Then who will be the better roleplayer - the one who can play only one role or the one who can play pretty much anything?

Just because you can roleplay eight characters it doesn't make you a better roleplayer than a guy who might RP only one character, if it is very good.

I got your point, check my post again, I never said that the guy with one role is a better roleplayer.

Still, why I am not a roleplayer just because I am concentrating on one role istead of 539573256290?

I have other RP ideas for things but dont have the money, because the majority are in it for the money, no offense lads..

...i only have 17k yet im a bartender and earn about 150$ on a good day, im on the verge of creating some kinda 'RP jobcentre' on forums if i find the list of cars etc..

If i get a good response ill try and make a start on either of the above ASAP

Thats my roleplay. I don't bother with OOC or IC rubbish, and just play.
To be honest, I got sick of tight roleplay a long, long time ago. Ever since the new scripts came out, people changed.
Everyone started being much more of an asshole, and started flaming over "lack of RP skills". Sure, we had the problems of DMers in 0.2.1 (LCV  ) but when they came we just killed them and laughed all the way to the bank.

I don't know what happened. But suddenly, everything is about money and business aquisition.
I do it too, I know. Lets put it this way, a point that should summarise:

I was only happy to roleplay freely when I had the house, business and car that I wanted, and had basically infinite money to spend on anything.

Thats how I am now. I have no idea what money I have because it doesn't matter. On WoW, I'm saving up for a flying mount. Then I need Cold Weather Flying, and the Epic Skill for flying mount also.
On Argonath, I have nothing to save up for, so I'm less tight with money (I'm still a bit of a git with money though, always have been) and can roleplay freely.

If nobody has anything important to save up for, they will spend money on 'pointless' or rather 'short-term' things such as roleplay and paying for imaginary goods or services.

Who the hell actually paid a hooker for their services?

Panda, ur right, people have changed. Players have changed, RP have changed, argonath have changed.

I remember before, i had a no house, no bizz, no car, but i had fun.

Money, i earned it, not given by paydays or events.
Im gonna sell it again.


Question, how do u have fun:

By doing what u think is fun. In the limits of the server rules.

Dont go around annoy people, just have fun RPing. Not any extreme pr0 l33t RP that u /me every step u take.

I often do /me at things u cant see. Im not doing /me takes a sprunk becouse, u can see that ingame, u can see him putting in a coin, u can see him take the drink, u can see him drink it. No use to /me all that.

I roleplay often a farmer, cop or taxi driver, or something else. In all these, its about having fun.
 
I personally dont think all the extreme RP is fun, its get booring fast.
Be with those who think thats funny,  some mates to do extreme Roleplay with, sure, if u want to do what tiderman exampled, do it, but dont complain on everyone else that dont.
