Tried out the new Windows 7?

Windows 7 Isn't really bad, My impression it goes faster than Vista, Sidebar is gone,
New Background and themes assignment and such..

Also very stable... I expected worse but in my opinion it's going good with Windows 7...

Btw, beta was officially published on 9th January, today!
I heard, that there is limit of downloading Windows 7: 2.5 millions of copys!

Where Janar??! I looked on the website and it says to check this afternoon..

The public beta has NOT reached 2.5 million downloads.  But so many people started downloading it that they took it down temporarily.  Here is the official announcement from Microsoft I read.

"Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the beta, and I’ll be posting here again soon once the beta goes live. Stay tuned! We are excited that you are excited!"

When I tried to click on the post link in the screenie for more information the first time I got a msg saying, "Server Too Busy" & second time it was taking a long time to load so I just closed it out

Why would Microsoft let out a download if it wasn't allowed?   :roll:

Unless you are talking about a download from certain non-microsoft sites.

Well ive tried it out now abit and it looks pretty amazing best of all its stable as hell and fast Everything is running much smoother (than im used to)

I used a emulation software to test it though so i haven't tried everything fully.

Screenshots and stuff might come later (im reinstalling the Windows 7 at the moment with a unlimited key, so i don't have to reinstall it later on ;()

It downloaded fine for me.

I'm burning it to a disk atm and backing up some files to install Win7 to a separate disk so I can boot XP or 7 :P


EDIT:  I finished burning it with Nero & when I insert it and autorun or manually run the setup.exe it gives me an error.  I downloaded the 32bit version there.

The download works allright no worries. It must be something wrong with either your connection or something else.

Note that you shall install the updates provided somewhere on some page,
There was some problem with mp3 corruption which they have a fix for already.
Dunno if release comes with this fix, Can anyone confirm whether it is the one with a fix or not?
