Haha oh wow.
I spent 5 hours trying to find a partition program. I partitioned 26gb for Windows 7. I installed it. I can now dual-boot onto either one.

I only have one thing to say...
Shittest OS ever.

Screen resolution won't change
Can't use Chrome
MSN won't work
G15 Keyboard wasn't working (fixed)
SAMP won't work
Windows Media Player is all messed up.
The "Superbar" thing is stupid, it won't let me change some things

Ugh, overall horrible. Once they fix it up a bit (A LOT), i'll boot windows 7 again, but until then..

ALL of those work PERFECT for me (I don't have a G15 Keyboard though)

I have SAMP working, MSN Working, WMP works fine, Google Chrome works fine.

I really have NO idea what your talking about lol..

P.S - Windows 7 is Awesome.  I love it I don't even want to go back to my XP lol

Mostly only heard good stuff about it, but what about all my XP drivers ?

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

Some XP drivers / Vista drivers stil work on Windows 7.. otherwise Windows should be able to get generic drivers which will operate well...

It's called "beta" for a reason, my friend.

And what I've read from users who actually know something about computers, Windows 7 sure does sound very promising. :)

Where can I get this for free, if I can and would there be a way for me not to lose all my information?

Haha, did you seriously expect it to work like a charm right away?

If you are too stubborn to understand what the word "Beta" means and that it might require you to sacrifice some time to examine and solve the possible problems, I would suggest you to not take part to the Windows 7 Beta testing, since the real problem most likely is between the chair and the computer.

As your Beta experience was obviously enough for you to be able to judge Windows 7 as the "Shittest OS ever.", better make sure you won't ever have it in any of your computers. ;)

The official public Beta is available from Microsoft until 24/01/2009. The original 2.5 million key limitation is no longer valid.

Check this link for the download and Beta product keys:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx

:ps: I strongly recommend the 64-bit edition if your processor has support for 64-bit.

Does Core 2 Duo work 64-bit?

Yes. You can find 64-bit support on:
AMD: Athlon 64, Opteron, Sempron, Turion 64 and Phenom processors
Intel: Newer Celeron, Pentium 4, Pentium D, Xeon, Core 2, and Core i7 processors

If you have an older Celeron or Pentium 4 processor (like I do), it might not have 64-bit support and therefore the 32-bit version of Windows 7 is unfortunately left as your only option.

Is it easy to switch from 32-bit version to 64-bit version, without problems?
Is it possible so i don't lose my files?

It is not possible to update your Windows from 32-bit to a 64-bit one and vice versa. You need to install Windows again, but of course you can install it on another partition so that your old files won't get lost.

But if I were you, I would back my files up on on a USB-memory stick or external hard drive, reformat the whole hard drive and install Windows on a clean hard drive.
