Thanks for your interest in the San Andreas Fire Department. If you are in the area, you can stop at the station during normal business hours and pick one up and fill out the application (Post application here). Below you can find a job description of a firefighter and below that is the San Andreas Fire Department rank structure.

If you are under 18, you should still fill out the same application.  Once you return the application, a legal guardian will have to be present to sign additional paperwork.

JOB DESCRIPTION
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________



Duties - Respond to emergency and non-emergency fire related, hazardous situations, medical emergencies and motor vehicle accidents.

Participate in firefighter and medical/rescue training.

Responsibilities -   Maintain physical fitness level for firefighter duties.

Maintain current medical certifications.  Basic First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Make an effort to achieve SAFD Cadet certification.

Must document and submit records for all individual training hours completed apart from organized department, company, or multi company drills.

Age Requirements -  Must be at least 18 years old.

Required Experience for Entry Level -  None required.

Skills Required -   No skills required for entry level.

Physical and Mental Requirements -  Must be able to handle lifting or moving objects, hauling hose lines,able to drive with firetruck and moving equipment during training and emergencies situations.

Must be able to comprehend training materials and sessions, and be of average mental competence in order to know the difference between right and wrong, safe and unsafe situations and be able to make rapid decisions.

Most Importnant -   Most importnant in our job is to save lives first and than save property.

Other Requirements -  Must have a valid driver's license.

"Medal of Honor"
This is the "Highest" Medal given by the San Andreas Fire Department.  The Medal of Honor is given for:  An act of bravery, taken while under great risk of personal injury, that results in the saving of human life.

The following personnel have been awarded the "Medal of Honor".

"Medal of Valor"
This is the "Second Highest" Medal given by the San Andreas Fire Department.  The Medal of Valor is given for:  An act of bravery, taken while under minimal risk of personal injury, that results in the saving of human life, or prevents the substantial loss of property.

The following personnel have been awarded the "Medal of Valor".

"Medal of Merit"
The Medal of Merit is given for: Meritorious action taken during routine emergency operations.

"Fire Chief's Commendation Medal"
Awarded to recognize single acts of merit or service in a non-emergency function such as training, administration, education, prevention, public and community service. Presented to an individual who had increased their unit, division, or department efficiency or effectiveness.

"Purple Heart Award "
Awarded to a member who has become victim to a serious injury or death while engaged in an emergency operations incident, or training evolution.

Sirens usage:
When you are allowed to use Firetruck sirens. ( That also means you CAN cross speed, but dont drive wreckless )

Emergency. - Rescue missions (You can use /rwinch command to pull victim into Rescue Helicopter) , Life in danger , Property in danger , Emergency call.
Transporting victim.
SAPD help request.
Higher SAFD rank command.
Radio report. ( /r )
You HAVE seen/heard something suspicious.

Abusing Sirens usage = Demote.
