You become "popular" if there is someone big and known to be on your ass all the time and fight with you, ban you or punish you for rulebreaking. That way all players know who you are and what are your problems.

I do agree with Carhartt, thought. Everybody is so obsessed with popularity and respect, you forgot this is a a gaming community and we do roleplay, not kiss asses and be famous...

How do you get popular?

There is only ONE way to get popular, stop bullshitting with sentences like: Ohhh I am a high ARPD Rank so Im popular! Who told you this shit?
I think I WAS popular for a certrain amount of time,because I didnt act how I am, I acted.....yeah I acted.
I opened my mouth and got banned for flaming ...again and again, I flamed the Asskissers and I flamed admins and I still do.
Even though, I think I made some good friends...admins..regulars...oldies..

My key: Dont think about popularity,who cares what they say? You have your friends and they stand behind you.
I made this experience mate, and even though you play longer then me, I made this fault as often as you, I couldnt hold my nevers and flamed and flamed, but WHATEVER I did...my friends stood behind me.

Started on MTA:VC.
I was a  bit popular for acting like a admin.. and some times flaming.
Then SA:MP Server became a reality. I joined, behaved and got picked as an admin.
Since then, I think I am only known because I am an admin.. That is not being popular.
I am popular with my friends.. wich aren't many. Because most either say I'm a bad admin, that I'm a rulebreaker, abuser, or just don't like me.
It's actually sad, to be known just because you are an admin.
I'll say 3 person's names, I think those people are trully popular:

I would and I do stand by this point... BUT, sometimes you need to organize and try change things by not by using roleplay too, so its a 2 way system here. (in my small world)

guys im going to go off topic for a little min to talk about something.
We are lucky to have these kind of admins ( im not ass licking i hate most of the admins..... )
anyway on other rp servers lemme tell u what to do ive been on 70/100 of the rp servers on sa-mp lemme tell u something i got banned there for silly things like this:
Once i was in a gang called " grove " ( we all know ) and 7 admins were in a gang " Ballas " they attacked us and i killed 1 of them and got banned cause i made him loose 10k of weapons that rp server sucks anyway
here is an other silly thing to get banned for:
once i was on my first RP SERVER i was playing there for 10 months i was kinda known... was going to be an admin but this happened a hacker called " f**ker" Sry for the bad word came gave me 500k.... i gave him it back he gave me 1000k and loged off and there was a admin and he was afk.... so i couldn't do anything i waited 1 hour none of the admins came and i went off wrote on forums everything.... after i came to the server i got banned by the server Owner he was disapointed ( or sum ) and he told me to do an unban request ... after 1 week i did an unban request and waited for admins... then after " 1 YEAR!!!" i saw that my unban request was ignored by all players/admins cause they dont have time to even take a look at it.... and i did an other unban request so they banned me from forums FOR: " f**k you .. stop doing unban requests you don't belong here " and they kept flaming me "
well im " kinda " lucky for being in this community i thought the admins of Argonath and even the players are going to flame me but thank god " There is a rule " No flaming " on other RP SERVERS if admin didn't like the way u talk/play/ or if he dmed you and u killed him he ban u..... and yeah and even if " Old " players didn't want you playing in the server they ban you... well we are lucky we dont do this in argonath

On Topic: im not famous/ ill never be / every day i make a new enemy / i don't give a sh** anymore / i just like come to play with my friends / sometimes admins even never reply to me /reports cause they are " Busy " most of the times they say that and that leads me to never report again cause 78/100 of the time i get that answer and sometimes i might not report but directly take actions by my self cause admins forced me too / i know they are busy im not saying they shouldn't but at least take a LOOK i get the reply " We are busy " when there is over 4 ADMINS come on.... / and yeah all my friends that became admins they treat me as " Trash " like i was nothing to them when we are friends cause they have now " admin powers " well screw that / and what i mean to say is " Screw the reputation(s)" Its a freaking game like if all the players know you / likes you / support you WHO CARES WHAT MAKE IT DIFFERENCE REALY HUH ? stupid quetion....... useless TOPIC
