Where did your first RP experience start?

What I want to know is where did you first start actually "RPing". On a different game, in real life, or just on SA:MP here at Argo?

Mine was this:

Me and my friend (when I was little) use to play this thing called adventure. It was like I was a warrior and we went throuhg villages and stuff and RP was created. Like what alot of kids do. But my first virutal RP experience was on Halo: Combat Envolved for the PC. After fighting other people onthe internet got boring, I went to RP servers and eve hosted my own. The possiblites were very limited and the people only fought, cussed, and got very annoying. So i joined SA:MP and first played on a DM server. I saw Argo and was like "Wow, RP server? How stupid, im never going to play that". But then eventually I got more interested and got bored DMing, so i came here.

GTA SA for Playstation 2, loved it and always played it. Cousin told me about GTA SA for the PC and all the possibilities etc. for "roleplaying" which I had to experience let alone knew what it was. Mainly on the PS2 I would "roleplay" as a cop to an extent. (Uniform, deagle, cop car, etc.)

 So I pretty much spent about a month reading the website (old version) for GTA SA. Eventually I got the game for the PC, installed SAMP and connected to Argonath.

 The only problem was that 1. I didn't know you had to use underscore (_) instead of space ( ) 2. I never played an online game on the PC before 3. I didn't know how to log in which took me about 15 tries as the evil 30 seconds to log in/register would kick me off. If it wasn't for Austin(_Powers) who taught me how to use T and / to log in I woulda been screwed 


First RP experience would probably have been either a cop one with Parox or my first "invitation" to _Vice from Zun where I changed my name from "cop" to good ol' "Vincent_Vice". You know, the next day the gang abandoned I kept the name and Parox said I should apply for ARPD, after a long time Carbon invited me to AV, and now I'm here

my first real RPing experience is on Argonath,
and starting from day 1, since its a RP server which means you should be RPing daily
dont know how i came on SAMP though,
i was just starting to play some official servers, since thats easy to find,
tried some other servers first, liked them,
but moved on and i arrived at Argonath,
and i liked it, good RP, good carreer possible inside ARPD which i liked, and still do

but actually you can call first person shooters RP too,
you RP that person, but i think in that case its SA single player or rainbow six,
i think rainbow six, dont know when i started it though,
but i believe before SA

but as u said about children stuff:
i think every player has been playing cop and bad guy at least once in there childhood,
with friends and family

I was surprised myself that I registered in august 2007, and the only thing I remember was that I helped someone make a video of a rp police video, like worlds wildest police videos in mtavc. I started my life offically in jan 2008, and a few days rping, miami who was in the sforza commented on how well I was rping and invited me to the sforza mafia. I met many people in mta, and I started playing in samp with the help of wash and evil. The first group I was in is the short lived petrova russian mafia, and eventually I became Tommy_Corleone.

I have learned a vast ammount of roleplaying and created a lot of friends to enjoy with.

First time? I think it was one of three options:
When playing in a sandbox
When playing with toy cars
When playing with friends in kindergarden

First time in a video game - probably GTA1, where I tried to drive properly and be a good citizen.

First roleplay game - Argonath MTA:VC server, Nov/Dec Christmas '06 I think.

Some other role playing (imagination required games I played). Well I made up a game, where I made a circle out of books (inner and outer circle), then I took some billiard balls( out of my mini-billiard set) put them on the track and started to push them around one by one to see, who will be the first to finish 10 laps. I pretended it was Tour De France.

I started roleplaying 9 years ago with the game "Furcadia."

Yeah I coouldn't really talk english but I was roleplaying a Hotel Manager!

When I was born You may not know it.. but EVERYONE plays a role in the real world, and it's not who they really are, but it's how they act because they think that people think that they are that way. (Difficult sentence, I know)

It's like at work, you are nice to your boss when he's around, but most will think: 'Fuck off, lemme do my job' when he's watching you
It's the role you play at that moment, and almost everyone does it. At school, at work, at home.. etc.
