What is the purpose of drinking ?

People drink to hide their emotions and feelings. Actually people drink to poison themselves because drinking alcohol is poisoning yourself. Why do you think you don't like it the first time? Because you are intoxicating yourself!!!

I do not drink and currently I am not thinking about drinking. I do want to know how it is to be drunk, but that's all..



I guess it's just "fun" to try to poison yourself with others...

Actually, docots recomend an alcoholic beverage like beer or wine for everyone a day. ((not moon shine...)) It does have its health benefits. Bot not alot of it....why do you think we have a liver? Ofc there are posions in it but as long as you have a healthly liver it would get filtered.

That's what I hate about most of the countries, they do propaganda from the early years to kids, just so that they won't drink any alcohol or smoke anything. And from that propaganda comes the understanding what for example yihka have.
Please, give people a proper information about alcohol not what I hear everyday: "Alcohol destroys your liver, person dead from alcohol poisoning, people walked in front of the car because he was drunk. Sure, people die when they are drunk, but 95% of the time those people are idiots and natural selection takes care of that.

Actually you are quite wrong. The goverment of many countries promotes the usage and spreading of the alcohol in diffrent ways (hidden ofcourse, not obvious). I am talking about TV commercials, campaigns and many other diffrent stuff.
The goverment makes a lot of money from producing, selling, importing, exporting and the most important - usage of diffrent alcohol drinks. Many people drink alcohol as it is healthy for their kidneys (not in big ammounts ofcourse) and helps them in difficult situations. I can assure you that the goverment understands that and finds a way of winning money from the alcohol, instead of making people not drink it.

Alcohol helps people in tough moments. It helps most remove the depression and make them feel a little better by drinking. For some people it removes limits, they go all crazy and wild without caring what would actually happen in the "other world" when they sober down. However, some people have quite a labile mentality and get addicted to the drinks they tried first very easily. Furthermore, some of them end up living on the streets, drunk every night, begging people for money to buy a drink and so on...
But this is only 1 case in 1,000,000 drinkers, so not to worry about it, you can have fun with friends!

Also, your facts are not quite correct, not any alcohol I know damages your brain and/ or your brain progress and cells. Except if you don't drink 5 litres of vodka and whiskey every day, there is no way your brain could be damaged by drinking...
Ofcourse, let's not forget... saying that a baby could understand the complicated way economics are held by the goverment does not speak good for you. Maybe your brain was damaged by too much alcohol?

If you are introduced to alcohol at a young age, take the French for example, You are proven to have less alcohol related broblems, like binging and getting totally wrecked. If your parents allow you to try it at a young age, you tend to accept that a small amount is enough.

In my country, purchasing alcohol under the age of 18 is strictly forbidden. They can fine the shop owner with around 5000 euros for selling cigarettes or alcohol to the kids under 18 years.
However, it is fully legalized to drink and/ or smoke at any age, no law that prohibits that.

Why are you calling me brain damaged? Did I said that country should encourage people to become alcoholics? Everything is lethal if you drink it too much, even water. I only wish that country would give the right information about alcoholic drinks, so people themselves have the right basis to consider starting to drink.

There are also 2 Estonian sayings about alcohol: "Võta pits ja pea aru." - "Take a shot and think it trough". It means, when you are too tense, don't make the decisions, but alcohol takes that tension away.
"Alkohol on tarkade jook" - "Alcohol is the beverage of the smart" It means that alcohol must be consumed in right amounts, by the people who know how much is enough.
