Okay, let's clear things up, shall we? Roleplaying is using /me and your imagination to "play a role" of something. When scripts and commands are thrown into the mix, they are there to enhance the realism of the roleplay so users can have even more possibilities, not so they can depend on them.

He was clearly being sarcastic, as I can understand Carhartt pointed that there's only a set ammount of roleplayers who know how to roleplay properly, according to what I understood, others, who cannot roleplay, are idiots.

The "/me" is a function... As it is not a playing of role it is extra addition...
All other scripts - extra addition...
All rules - extra addition...
This is the structure, which was passing MTA and SAMP...

First was just server, then appeared /me function, then appeared scripts, rules...
Many rules SAMP servers took from MMORPG online games... Like OOC/IC, double nicks, chat rules... With this SAMP RPG lost its charm, turned into forced-RP with the rule on every step...

About examples without /me command...

I do not understand why you cannot think over such examples yourself...

Lets take the next... RON is sitting in a bush, Lom comes to him...

RON: hiding (removing /me is hiding in a bush)
Lom: haha (removing /me is giggling)
RON: get lost, I am hiding
Lom: I will cut the bush (removing /me decided to cut the bush)
*Lom scrolls weapons, getting chainsaw, starts waving it in a bush (removing /me is cutting the bush with the chainsaw)*

Actually we started using /me only for funny scenes... But before it was really RPG without /me even...

Example from past...
I was a criminal level 6, on server where I played level 6 was giving 10000$ if jailed or 5000$ if killed...

Coolguy: RON wanna make money?
RON: I can make money here?
Coolguy: Yes and I can help you with that
RON: Ok why not to try
Coolguy: Meet me at Downtown

He arrived with helicopter, landed near me, I got in... Then he took me to the high building...
After that he announced himself as my lawyer and started negotiations with different cops in case they will agree with the deal... The deal was: I agree to be jailed, cop gets 5000$, me - 3000$ and lawyer - 2000$...

The whole deal, negotiations, trip and questions were without any /me...

One of the best Roleplay examples without /me - GTA games themselves... Try to get it... You are shooting, walking, using all options which are in multiplayer as well, talking to game persons (aka chat), and do not have any extra options... And all this without /me command...

Can this topic be locked? Apperntly what everyone is seeking in this is just to have a big hug and then a big slap among the faces.

As for my personal opinion, I understand Aragorn, hes a hell of aggresive man, but hes right.

There are some obivious and basic rules.

Like do not deathmatch.

The basic rules is ALL what we need.
We do not need 100 rules about rpg.

If you had a book of rules, more kinda a HUGE lawbook, no ones is going to read it.

I still like the "Main chat" options to switch on and off, but it needs more "thinking".
I like the OOC stuff, but it should be more of a recommendation. Not some "You suck at rpg you can't rpg 100% RL BAAAAW." Just because the other player did roleplaying without any damned brackets.
Actually, there's a hell a lot of "Inoffical" rules that could be more of a recommendation, than players trying to "force" it into real rules.

I mean, who the f**k did give you guys the right to start making up rules, then trying to get every other guy in the server to play exactly according to these rules?

Mtavc did not have a asshuge loads of rules, it was basic rules there. then why should sa:mp have it?

Players came and "whined" to me on msn, about how SHIT Argonath have turned.
Has it not been for them, I would have not came back.

So I went here to check things out, and to confirm.

And you know what? The real problem here, is guys who tries to enforce rules, then moan when the rules fails. And guys who are just in general bad guyy little moaners.

Any rule at all, I think should be disscussed between Community Leaders, and founders.
It's not up to admins and players to make some f**king rules, it's up to admins and players to follow the rules already given, and for the admins to enforce these basic rules. And for the admins of course use common sense. (Players should of course use common sense too).



Stop trying to mirror something that will make this server incredible booring.

Not happy about it? I say: GO find a new server, then show them your huge lawbook that details how and exactly in that point how things should be done, and punishments for those who do not follow it: Punishments by the word f**king noob or Get the f**k out.

This server clearly lost respect within, and this needs to be restored bigtime.

Ie, I did not remember we told players "GTFO NOOB", "You suck as player" to players in mta vc...

We follow examples from our superiors, of course. If we see you randomly provoking Omri then how are we supposed to justify acting professionally in the server?
