Fml I had this issue before and had to reinstall GTA due to mods.. can you connect to any other servers?
Try move the GTA San Andreas folder to another location like in Program Files folder instead of Rockstar Games folder.

Are you attempting to install cleo modifications? Have you recently installed any graphics/skins?

Okay...Cofiliano you are going to want to do this...It was stated before, but it is something that will work.

1) Uninstall all your GTA SA stuff, and delete anything that doesn't get installed.

Now i am guessing it was installed to the directory  C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

2) Now that you removed the game and all of it's features it is time to re-install it and choose a different directory (as stated above from someone else) I would recommend choosing something like this C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games2\GTA San Andreas add the 2 and it will go to a different directory. I had the same problem before, sometimes restarting my PC fixed it and when that didn't i just re-installed it to a different directory. Depending on how fast it installs and uninstalls the total process will take 15 minutes to half an hour.

I guess you use a crack for the game Cofi, try to download a new crack and over write it with the old one. Can be the crack causing your game to crash.

This is atleast one possibility.
