- With no qualifications he couldn't get a job and with his family disowning him he resulted to committing various petty crimes starting from pick-pocketing, to robbing houses, to getting involved in an extortion organisation many years later.
- In a meeting with a rival faction gone wrong, he got shot in his jaw and was rushed to the hospital.
- During his recovery rumour spread that officers were going to apprehend him as soon as he's discharged, fearing a jail sentence he escaped and boarded the first plane to San Fierro, with the assistance of a loyal friend.
- Upon arriving at San Fierro he changed his name to Vladislav and got a job as a construction worker in Doherty.
- As he was keeping his head low in San Andreas he became dissatisfied with his job, he was getting paid minimum and had to take many extra hours in order to pay the rent for his motel room.
- As he was walking home from work one day through Queens he got into a fight with a man trying to rob a local 24/7 store, this caught the eye of a resident who offered to give him a helping hand financially, in return all Vladislav would have to do is collect money for him.
- Impressed with his work the man brought Vladislav back into Queens to meet the higher-ranked members of a Russian/Serbian faction called Gvardia, who through a series of trials and tests decided to accept him as a member of their syndicate.
- Now he is said to go by the name Vladislav Gvardia and is said to have returned to his earlier roots of extortion with a partner going by the same name as him, Vladimir.
- Got married in 2009 to a German woman, Angelika, who gave birth to a baby boy some time in January 2010.
- Often visits his wife and son but doesn't live with them for their own safety.
