Yes, SMFnew kinda sucks, although it seems like no boards under SMFnew have NEARLY the same degree of problems we do. I've proposed a migration to a new host, especially since our "webmaster" is inactive, but that may be difficult to set up everything, including permissions, accounts for everyone, and copying topics.
Some of the solutions to fixing it, or at least reducing some of the problems, require root permissions, which I do not have because I did not create the forums... or the host is just gay and wants me to pay for shit. One of the two.
I'll see what I can do about it, but it's highly unlikely I'll get any success from it. Prepare for forum migration sometime.
