Yeah, criminal groups were promised a lot of things in RS5 following the wonderful updates, but it resulted in just losing everything and having to work all over for even the status.

The new updates are not good enough to motivate us to work all over again, otherwise people wouldn't complain about losing their assets. I personally expected a lot more from RS5, I had serious plans on returning to the server and working with my friends, but we have lack of motivation as the RS5 is not good enough in our eyes, it became too complicated.
It's like when you get bored on Argonath (during RS4), then you try some other server, and once you join, shitload of menu boxes appear, the public chat is divided into 60 colors, every command you use a menu pops up and shit... That's why Argonath was unique, now I find it complicated to play on.

That's the problem: no one steps up to the plate. This statement covers all sides that are not already present.

People mourn their lost assets instead of stepping up to take advantage of the new opportunities. If more people stepped up instead of thinking about what they do not have, then the system will get going.

Just to clarify, I did not oppose Sforza's loss of official status either, despite being good friends of its leaders. But as I pointed out then, as I am pointing out here, I think the idea is to show the groups that those who will become official are the ones willing to work to maintain their presence as a force to be reckoned with, rather than bank on the laurels of previous achievements and lose the previous momentum they had in forging ahead.

After seeing RS5, I drew a parallel between it and Blackberry; really good hardware that has a hard time getting popular due to a not-so-user-friendly OS.

Personally though, I think the dynamics of the gamemode itself are manageable in the way similar to RS4 once you get used to them. I see more of the complication in the tiny things such as having the simplest functions put in dialog boxes instead of leaving a command form for them too. (as dialog boxes are more practical for tasks with medium to high complexity)
