The Wonderful Colored Childhood

Most people who resort to drugs or illegal activity usually have bad childhoods. The weird thing is, I actually had a very good childhood. My parents were caring, brother was supportive, and I had family which loved close by. The neighborhood was good, quite segregated as it was filled with white people. We were quite set financially, and didn't have any difficulty. I was quite spoiled, got almost everything I wanted which was realistic. It was the whole white picket-fence and all.

...School was quite different

 I remember going into freshman year excited, wanting to impress and give back to my family for all the support. The start of freshman year was great, I had exceptional grades, I was making friends, the wrong kind of friends which would later end up costing me. The group of guys I was hanging out were potheads, yeah they smoked marijuana, but they were still great friends and we all had each others backs. The more I hung out with them, the more I got used to their antics and the more of an influence they had on me. As freshman year came to an end, I began smoking pot, not frequently, but did it on special occasions. The beginning of sophomore year was no different. Pot was becoming more frequent, my grades were dropping, and my disciplinary record kept building. The group got closer as-well, pretty much doing everything together.

Summer break, what a time that was

We decided to plan a trip and go during summer break. As summer break came, we decided we wanted to go to Las Venturas for the summer. The hotels, the woman, pretty everything there was great. We decided to rent a motel instead of a hotel so we would have more money left over through-out the vacation. We pretty much did what any teenager was able to do in Las Venturas, everything but gamble. Our days pretty much consisted of booze, woman, getting shit-faced, heading back to the motel, waking up and doing the lot all over again. As summer break came to an end, we decided to forget school and our boring neighborhood and lifestyle, and settle in Las Venturas. We came up with a plan that, if we all found jobs and put money in for bills, we would have plenty left over to enjoy ourselves.

Las Venturas Wasn't Always So Pretty

The jobs we had were grueling, and tiresome. They weren't jobs cut out for teenagers but we managed to work it through. About 4 months in, I could see that they were getting tired and bored of Las Venturas and having to work for their own money. Two, Zack and Eddie, who were brothers, decided to go back to Los Santos, back to where we all grew up. At first, it had no effect on us, as we went straight back to working and enjoying ourselves. After about a month and a half, I could see that John and Steven, two of my buds who stayed after the brothers left, wanted to leave as-well. And they did.. I didn't really want to go back, and didn't.

Finding the perfecting roommate

My earnings alone weren't enough for me to live in Las Venturas, so I put out an ad that I was looking for a roommate. I got an email back from a guy named Jack Angler. He explained to me that he just got out of jail, and that he was on parole. I decided to meet up with the guy and hear him out. We met at a local delly, and he explained his situation, and I decided to give him a shot. The first couple of weeks was fine, I had turned 18, and we were financially good. I noticed he began acting strange, didn't know whether he is like this because of his jail time, or because of drugs, but I was too afraid to ask. I kept quite, and acted as If I didn't notice anything.

The Turning Point

Me turning a blind eye on the situation dug a bigger hole. It was a Thursday, around 9 AM, where I woke up to police knocking on my door. I figured something happened near and they were just asking if I knew anything. Boy was I wrong. They had got a call that I was selling heroin out of my motel. I was placed in handcuffs, and sat on the couch in the corner, right next to the closet door. As the police officers searched my motel, throwing everything everywhere, I started to notice that Jack's stuff was gone, as if he moved out right before the police came. That's when I thought to myself, "The f**king mule ratted me out, telling them It was my drugs". Once I noticed that, I knew them finding the drugs was inevitable, and they did. I had court hearings and had my own lawyer, but there was just too much evidence against me. I spent four and a half years in Las Venturas' maximum security prison and was released on good behavior on a 2-year parole. First thing I did when I got out, was look up Jack Angler's address. Heh, San Fierro, guess I'm heading there.
