Ima thinkin of gettin FSX (Flight Simulator X) but I'm not sure if I should really get it.
Here's some questions before you say Yes or No or Maybe or It's your choice:
-Is there Online Multiplayer?
-Is there a way to be a passenger or just Passenger Camera? (Like in Train Simulator)
-Is it fun? (I find Simulators fun)
-Is it hard to control the planes?
-Does it has more planes?
-Does it run in Windows XP? If not, is there any mod or something to it to run in it? (I don't have Vista and I DONT want to have it)
-Can an aTI Radeon HD 4850 run FSX?
-And finnally, is it worth it?

-Yes there is Online Multiplayer and it is better than before.
-Hmmm, I know on certain aircrafts (usually add-ons) there is, well you can look around inside the plane.
-It's brilliant, for professional use or leisure, you are sure to find something you like.
-If you have good experience on previous FSs, it should be fine. It is hard when you start (especially if it runs slow on your computer) but there are detailed courses to get you in the air. No worries!
-MANY more! Plus, can get lots of free aircraft, scenery and misc. add-ons from professional sites. Just anme it!
-It does run on XP fine.
-I am not sure, sorry! But you must have a very fast PC to be able to run it. Is your PC capable? Graphics card should be very good. It definitely challenges your computer. This is my problem, I really need to upgrade my computer (it's superb as it is, but just a step below for FSX, technically the game says I can play it, but not on full graphics). If you have a new computer you should be fine, otherwise, it's a major bother!
-It's a very good game for the money, although, make sure your PC is just as good or better! I have the Deluxe Edition, but I can play it properly till I get my PC upgrades.

Feel free to contact me, also, check out my FSX topic on this same field.

Last question:
So people say you need a real fast PC to run this.
My PC can run:
Crysis (Wars, Warhead and 1) at max graphics 1440x900 (dang monitor) with around 60~90 FPS per second (I don't remember)
Burnout Paradise - Same graphics definitions above
GMOD with loads of stuff to load - like, 30 turrets with 10 bullets each (thats like, I don't know, 300 bullets per 50 miliseconds? )

So... it might run FSX just fine...! Right?

I think it may work for you better than it works for me!
How much RAM and hard drive specs do you have, and which graphics card do you use?
Also, if you can play GTA IV very well on your PC, FSX should be fine.
Good Luck!

You should be able to run FSX. But I got one question for you, what settings are you running Crysis in ?

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

Oh mai.
IT WORKS!
Well, with 2 settings on High, it works. Everything that isn't on high is Ultra High.

Game is awesome. I didn't detect MANY changes from the previous titles. I noticed a significant number of them though.
Sometimes it does some hick-ups but that is after it loads.

Still, I need a Joystick, playing on PS2 Controller + Keyboard = Hecka hard :hit: I can't even Taxi lol

Crysis? Ultra High. :]]] With that mod to enable it.

Well, good luck playing. :D

Maby you should also try to play online at IVAO or Vatsim if you are a person who is all into the flying procedures.

Awesome! Glad to hear.
Yes, a joystick is really needed. I have one and it is brilliant.
There are some changes (especially online). It is much better though. You are able to play it on High? LUCKY!!
I can barely play it on the lowest!! My computer meets the requirements, but it I don't know why it still needs upgrades. Microsoft should higher the requirement margin, stupidly low at the moment, probably to make people buy. SCAMMERS! HAHA!  :D
Very good game though, online is brilliant.
By the way, which edition of FSX did you get?

In FS98, all you needed was the throttle control ( = and - ), the wheel control ( , and . ) and the wheelbrake ( B i think).

Note, those are FS98 controls

Agreed.

Same... Takes forever to load the scenery even at lowest... but once it is running, its fine.

Very good game though, online is brilliant.
I've gotta try that sometime ;)

Looks like we have the same problems, Hess!
Annoying, hopefully we can both play it soon.

AND, about taxing using a keyboard, you need throttle control (set on controls) or use the flight deck throttle lever using mouse and you need steering of course, brakes (as some planes tend to veer on take off no matter what) and altitude controls. All these can be set on the main controls option. This can also be found on the internet or FSX community sites.  :D

Anyways, lock/delete/kill/un-bump this thread since it's no longer needed.
