Yeah.........most of it is ice. And the poles do get warmer for it to snow. And on absolute zero, then it is too cold to snow...

There is snow and tons of it over 10 metres deep.. it snows everyday, 24 hours a day in the right seasons..
But yes I guess you are right with the fact that it cant snow at abolute zero.. infact nothing will happen cos everything would be dead and frozen    :conf:

But back on topic - the reason why it is a meaningless quote ( ''Its too cold to snow'' ), is the fact you hear it in places like here in the UK where the coldest it will get all year round is -5... or -10 if your (un)lucky.
