Has anyone else noticed this server slowly going downhill? CBF is leaving because of mass complaints from people about abusers (which don't even exist, its just their way to keep their $200 from getting jailed). Why is this server now based around money? All it is is money, houses, cars, businesses... Everything people want to RP has to include money to even get started. Events need a decent payout or no one's gonna go near it.
I went into Pershing Square and bought two bowls of RP hot and spicy noodles from Cane (actually paid for), an RP bottle of soda (from Panda, paid for) and a box of lasagna (also from Panda, paid for), for the sake of RP. I didn't get anything from it - no health, no money later on, nothing to benefit me. I did it for the sake of a few minutes killed based on RP.
This is a roleplay server, guys. Not a money server. If you're getting pulled over, PULL OVER. If you're getting jailed, accept it. Its $200. The cops need to make money just like you do. Get over yourself and do what you know is right. Stop complaining about the stupid shit - that's what's making CBF leave. All of you complainers that complain a hundred times in a night about abusers... You're ruining the server. Either stop, or leave.
This game is an escape from the world for a lot of people, me included. I don't need my public chat filled with "abuserrrrrrr" and "omgggg admin i need help i was abused!!!!!!!!" Honestly, you're RUINING this server. You're RUINING it. I was pulled over by [Rstar]Austin and we discussed the actual direction of this server. And we agreed that those of you who constantly complain are wrecking the community.
If you don't get over yourselves and your egos, you're going to make CBF leave. Which then makes the admin team down their best member. Which makes the server that much more prone to actual abuse and rulebreaking.

By the way, I give props to the honest and true members of this server that make it so fun to be on. You guys (along with the server itself) are one of the best parts of my day. I would like to personally thank all of you ingame, and if I meet you face to face, I will. Any of the higher level ARPD cops that know what they are doing have my fullest and utmost respect. Thank you. Thank you to the criminal groups who don't take it too far and know when to surrender, actually /gu, and pay their fines. Thank you to the actual RPers on this server, although I don't meet up with many of you.
And I believe I speak for all of us by saying thank you to CBFasi and the rest of the adminstration team, who make this server the amazing place it is to the community.

I was thinking this server is cool, friendly than other server I used to play
But now I can't take it anymore, I was think that I will stick up with this server.

People are gimped in their options by the fact that they "don't have enough money" (which in in a lot of cases is true).

I seriously, honestly think that money should not be a factor on here. I really don't. Money makes people greedy, and pissed off when they don't have it or think they don't have it (hey, look at me!). Criminals look at the basic picture, which is that criminals can't make money (which is true) and that cops make easy money (which is false).
I have suggested before, just give everybody $100million when they join. Do $100million paydays or something. I'm actually truly not kidding. Yea, it would screw up the whole idea of making money. But the whole idea of making money is a bad one anyway - it just involves scrounging as much money as possible off other people, and then they get unhappy when they have none left.

In RS2, people had such a ridiculous amount of money. Seriously. They had millions upon millions, mainly due to random MOLE missions (which fucking rocked!!!!). As far as I can remember, they did not moan nearly as much as now.
When I once found myself in a rather comfortable position monetarily, I was happy. Then, Araatus gradually (read: All in one go whilst I was eating dinner ) blew it and now we have assets but little money. When I did have a lot of money, I didn't care when I got DMed. I didn't lose anything. That was the fundamental advantage I had. I didn't lose anything by dying. So what, I lost like 0.1% of my money, lets go buy more guns again.

Just consider for a moment if paydays were actually in the server. The only reason they aren't is because RON said that "people should not be paid for doing nothing". Well.. quite frankly yes they should. The more money people have, the less they complain. I'm serious with this. If people are AFK, just don't give them a payday. Or maybe payday every active account, including those that are offline. Or something, I dunno.

Get a new hobby etc..

What im trying to say is that there have always been complaints about this game. I dont condemn their opinions and I also feel like this sometimes, but CBF has put alot of work into RS4 and if you dont like it then theres a whole lot of stuff you can do besides make a topic like this.

Maybe just bigger paydays (10k, even). $100 million is excessive, as no one has that much, even now. But $10k a day isn't a bad idea.
Plus, these insane salaries would just cause inflation, then making people even more angry. It works the same as in real life.

Anyways, the sad thing is that not all of the complainers are newbies. MOST of the people who complain are regulars who are "teaching" newbies to complain with their current behaiviour.

well i can understand that money is usefull, getting a house/bizz and car is nice to do,
also you need money for armoury, so yes money is a part of the game

i do agree with this thing except:
what you say is let abusers go ahead, let them jail/kill you,
it shouldnt be this way, you shouldnt let abusers/rulebreakers do what they do(not much goods)

if you are abused get away from that abuser, find an officer and talk to him,
he can request unsus for you, or just take it and run away for that 10 mins
and 1 more thing i hate: is complaints how bad the community is,
the community isnt bad

After all of my time on Argonath, and reading the statements of many, from CBFasi, to Aragorn, to Indica, and to so many others I have to, as much as I would rather have it not be true, and it just be a phase, agree that Argonath is in a decline of certain things.

Now, I will say that the server by no means is becoming this terrible place with hacks, rulebreakers, and lack of RP. It's not. Argonath, from my perspective, is still a great, active Roleplay community. There are regular players, generally fun to be with and nice to be playing with. And there is the new players, whom are assisted to become the next group of regulars.

Argonath STILL, reguardless of recent "set-backs", is a server with loads of role-play. There is, however, a terrible truth. Some players, far from a majority and certainly a select few, are very "expressive" of there feelings towards others and there ways and willingness to RP. Those players, not the ones their complaining about, are the players who are letting the server down. They, instead of continuing to role-play to there fullest, or to whatever extent they choose, decide to complain about things in the main chat. That is purely pointless as it will not cause the other person to even notice your concern, let alone act upon it. It will also severly annoy other players who might actually be trying to have a REAL discussion and would like to actually SEE there chat box.

On a more defined note, CBFasi has every god-damn right to be upset with these people. If he wasn't unimpressed I would think he might be crazy. And people need to start leaving CBFasi alone. He has his PM off half the time for a reason, so he can actually PLAY himself! With all these annoying things and people putting constant pressure on him about the server he can't even just relax after a day of hard work ane role-play for fun. And, that isn't even to mention the stress his job must put on him. His job, in real life away from Argonath, involves the nation of where he lives and there government. Being a government employee he has a given amount of stress added. Granted, I have no knowlege of percisly what it is that he does, but reguardless.

Therfore I certainly hope for a few things. One, that the role-play in the server is returned to a more normal state, that is, that people don't ruin it or complain of others, not role-playing is fine to me. Two, that these ignorant people whom shall remain nameless, although we all know at least one of them, will stop complaining about these people and just put a sock in it, or more appropriatly, a banana. And three, that people stop using main chat to report rulebreakers or hackers, it really, REALLY is annoying. Its as if they dont even understand that if the hacker sees someone has caught him, and if he belives he has been brought to the attention of an admin, that he might just uproot and leave. That is not right that they don't get there punishment, admins can ban out of game, but if the players gone, they can't do an investigation to prove hacks are being used.

Well, thats all of my comments. Mostly ranting about random stuff but I really though it would be nice to comment. No need to actually respond of course, or even care. It really is just the rants of some random player, and I went off topic in quite a few spots. I just had to make it clear what I though on the matter, but other comments seem to have worked there way in, don't mind them.

i have only played a few days here, but if you have been with me then you know i love to RP alot. im guessing that CBF is a developer of gta or something.
but i am ashamed that our own members are making the owners and developers slowly leave because of how they acts in an RPG SERVER.

And btw, i think a new rule should be put in for the people that moan. to stop our great members from leaving.
