Freecops: What the hell?

Why must free cops be untrained?  I accidentally hit a suspect, and I was suspected for murder.  I quickly got out of the car to /gu and Matt_Dimon shot me to death before I could surrender, I didn't even run!  Can we have only cops that are trained have guns?  This is seriously fucked up.

Excellent suggestion, with only 2 minor drawbacks.

1) They never listen
2) Most can't speak English properly and start talking to you in a foreign language.

Some do listen you just have to get their attention.
Non-english people can be a problem as you have no idea what they'r saying they could be saying "Oh sorry i don't know" and your saying "Uhh what?" and they could think your saying "Yeah just kill any Orange guys".

Tell them the rules, that is probaly how you got to know them to by being told.
Make them understand it isn;t that hard to talk to them.
Fun is why people play SA:MP it's a game your' supposed to have fun...

Screenshot and report. They will most likely get warnings at first. But if SAPD captains and above keep seeing them abusing, then they will get cop banned.  I thought that cop ban feature would stop topic like these being made.

well copban isnt used often, you see ppl abusing for hours, reported numerous times,
but not even then he will get copban, they first get 1000 warnings,
copabuse should be used faster, after few warnings not 1000

but i hate complain topics, im repeating myself again.......
freecops can be annoying, reasons given by mike,
but not all of them are bad

and outside this all:

SA is a games, games exists to have fun!
taking away to much things to do for ppl makes the fun go away,
and makes this like a virtual real-life, but its not, its for fun

developers cost millions to make this, they spent countless hours coding it.  Hopscotch is "just a game".

My view is that you should never generalize anyone.

Yes, most new players want to be a cop, they love the idea of chasing criminals. They may sometimes not get the idea about suspecting, arresting, killing a suspect cuz, lets face it, being a cop is complex in Argonath. There are times when you have to recuff, shout surrender, kill etc etc. Its also case specific. What is correct in one situation need not be right in another.

However, I can give you so many examples of new players who have been amazing cops! I will name a few - Plam_Knight, Rory, Blinky, Carlos, and so many others, they are relatively new, yet they are amazing cops, they know what to do. In fact these people are so good that I send new players with them for cop training.  But if you ask these players, they will tell you that they made their mistakes, they suspected wrong at times, when they began as cop. So how did they become good cops? They were explained about rules, when to suspect etc.
All players are intelligent. They are all human beings who can think. They just need to be explained to. Be patient with them, if you do get suspected and killed, yes you may lose some money from your 1 million cash balance but teach them instead of shouting "DAMN YOU FREECOP!" on main chat.

If someone doesnt know english, ask the player which country they are from. Then ask in main chat whether there is a player from that country and if you find a regular, ask them to speak to him via pm. If you dont find anyone use short phrases like "No shoot first" and "Ask surrender first". They will understand such phrases.

Only thing that is seriously f*cked up is that you have a bad encounter with one then decide to make a topic to discriminate the whole lot of them. Most of them are new players, so of course, you need to expect some that may not know the regulation, but they learn with the help of others, as do everyone else who started off as a freecop.

It's not duty for everyone, it's duty for anyone who is yet to prove too abusive to be a cop.

1. If they choose not to listen and continue to be abusive, then they'll be duty banned.
2. As for those that don't understand English well, most can understand you if you don't start speaking with complicated words, but if they're really bad at English, you could find someone who speaks the same language and get them to patrol together. Though, this hardly needs to be done as you just need to be simple in your words and have a bit of patience with them.

3. Then tell them the rules. Despite the general rules being on our website and forum, most players learn the rules because they were told them ingame.
4. Reason for what? Reason for the rules? If they don't understand why we have a rule, then explain to them why.
5. Everyone wants to have fun, but we have rules that people need to abide by, or are you suggesting that people who follow the rules have less fun then people with no regard for them? There's nothing fun about being admin punished then duty banned.

They don't if you don't report it and a duty ban is usually for repeated offences, not single abuse cases.
