Something may wrong with Shortcut

Right click San Andreas Multiplayer
Select Properties
Look at the Target, change it lead to samp.exe

Hope it fix  :D

Well, here's a suggestion...
Try to create a new windows account either XP or Vista then install your San Andreas into a new folder DIFFERENT from the other Game and make sure you installed/downloaded the original DVD/Version then install the original SA:MP and indicate your new installation folder of San Andreas, an automatic shorcul will be created for you, open it and run the game. This should work, If not then your system have some problems...

You need to downgrade, as wrong version causes SP to load, not MP.
