The community puts up the most ridiculous ideas sometimes, but we take those ideas and see if we can make something out of anyway.

The exact thing how we did our work in a past...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

I'll admit, I have not been around for a very long time either (in terms of consistenty). But ...

"...am trying my best to fuck up the atmosphere"... Yeah why else to arrive here yeah?.. Anyways I do not care about your personal issues toward me... You will not manage to get rid of owners... And I do not care why you try it even... But bullshit towards owners from you I will stop for sure... Do not respect do not want our server - you are free to go - it is fair enough for both sides...

If I will hear again any such rumours about me like "this prick arrived and wants to destroy what we did" or "this prick arrived and we will have no life" - you better get out from Argonath, if you do not want to be aragornized... I will not allow toxic behavior towards owners and trust me I will not accept this behavior against any developers team who want to continue the work with us...

Once again I will hear the lie about owners or their policy - you are out...
I haven't seen anyone say that you want to destroy what was accomplished during your time away. A lot of people including myself are afraid and fearful that it might happen. I personally haven't witnessed it but I have been told by many former HQ that whenever Gandalf would return from his times away, he would revert any changes or updates he did not approve of. (haven't heard you specifically mentioned). I am not saying this is true, I don't know. But the fact it has been said gives us cause for concern, and I hope you understand that. I am not saying you will, but I among others have asked you to not do such a thing. I hope that makes sense ))))
Problem is that the community knows only about some people being removed who blamed it on me not accepting rule changes or modernization. In reality those that were kicked out were planning to take over ownership of the community. I had enough logs and discussions to know their plans when I acted. But even then I did not put out all dirty laundry about them to the community, out of respect for he good things they did.

We are no here to kick out people, to bring back the past or to ignore that time has passed. If you remember we were often ahead of our time, sometimes years ahead in ideas so that we could not make things work until the devs of the mod caught up.
We introduced buying properties in MTA:VC and SA:MP. Cars braking when you exit so they could no longer be used as DM  weapon. Using the same trick as in-game not o fall out when entering interiors
Zombie-NPC''s coming after you (lagging the server as SA:MP was not preared for this).

We already discussed things that nobody will have seen but are possible.
Holding back people has never been our style. We give opportunities, and if they fail people get angry at us because they failed themselves. You do not need to fear any changes, unless you are trying to undermine the community.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

First of all, Aragorn, welcome back for the time you're here.
I can't remember ever meeting you in person when it comes to an ingame server, so I am sure you have no clue who the fuck I am.

I do not intend to put shade onto anyone, and neither will I attempt to do so.
I am, in my opinion, a valuable regular for the VC:MP Argo server.

The community puts up the most ridiculous ideas sometimes, but we take those ideas and see if we can make something out of anyway.

Even we, as the only real roleplay server on the client, can't survive not listening to the players in any way, but there is a limit to how much effect players will have in decision making and ultimately every single decision that is related to the VC:MP server is up to me and Klaus to figure out.

I assume every community has those idiotic ideas being requested, just like in ours. I myself try to come up with ideas that are balanced, helpful and create more opportunities for every party involved. The amount of times I bothered Kessu with asking if I should even bother to come up with ideas in a certain area of the game I no longer remember, but that is what has kept VC:MP Argonath the way it has been for years: COMMUNICATION.

If I see how people certain people here behave like they feel the need to tell someone else what they did or didn't do wrong, I feel like kindergarten is in session. Why is it so hard to have a little self reflection, some respect for other people but mostly for yourself?!

I am proud of how the VC:MP server currently is, no matter the circumstances we've had to go through in all the years. I am grateful for every individual who was and IS involved in keeping it alive, since that is what it should be about. It's very easy to point fingers so you don't have to do shit yourself, every imbecile can do that.

My point is, shut the hell up if you are just here to blame someone for something, nobody cares.

Have a nice day :)

Ohhh so you're saying you're hurt, pansy? It's just a few holes, tough it out.

they want more quality and more interactions with other players, they're tired of grinding all day.

And under more quality they mean a strict RP (from what I understood in conversations)... Yes we all (maybe) want the best way of players interacting on server, and I have no idea why all developers shitted their pants when we want the same... Different vision? We already had a hybrid server which was running normal... But already those times started a fight about implementing more and more rules as many players and admins already were used to server and commands and were not thinking about new players who will be lost in it...

As for me all what started in this topic - is just fear of the current admins team that now they will have to face the requirements of administration which needs not just blah blah in Discord...

None of owners have plans to drop all past and current work... On your place you guys could be more happy that arriving people with skills who can make it faster, stable and protective instead of start being afraid and with that spreading toxicity about owners...

Old man, I do remember your temper and you were notorious when it came to strike back towards people that you felt attacked / were against the community in any how.. You just barkin' back at the people who bark at you with no end game I suppose.

The community can be revived I don't doubt that, but changes are inevitable.

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

I randomly decided to visit Argonath: Saw this thread and decided to give my opinion based on the things I have experienced during the times I were here.
Stop being a oaf... I might not have spent as many nights as you guys did defending this community. But I were there the times I did. Time that I could have spent on homework.
I remember the times scripts went down on mta:vc, I remember when we used helicopters to constantly kill deathmatchers as admins when we could not use scripts to ban.
Spent many years of my "online time" so to say on this community back then. The only thing that has changed is you leaving and opinions here and there. And I won't give up my point unless someone can give me a good argument: You leaving caused tension and instability in the community.

I might not have spent as much you did in terms of money either. But I ALMOST (and note almost) singelhandedly spent the money to revive Argonath during the time when your bank fucked up and
took the money you needed to keep Argonath RPG running. Instead of having to wait 1-3 months, I spent 200 USD right away to get the final stretch.
Gandalf can confirm that btw about the money. I remember it very well. You don't spend money and you don't stay up all night if you want to fuck shit up either in the past or now.

There's far better things I can do to fuck up the astmosphere here if I really wanted to. A discussion, criticism and a small slew of "hard talk" is not.

Life has been a fucking hell recently, including accepting what has happened to me in the past. Dunno if life will ever get better but at the least I'm still hanging on. Lol.

I'm going to be getting ahead of myself but I feel like it's worth a shot to at least point it out.

In the past, when we also had Paruni, it had some serious potential in terms of going outside the RPG bubble. Nowadays there are plenty of really great games which offer dedicated servers. Take Minecraft for example, something which worked in the past and works great as we speak. Wouldn't it be good for Argonath to get back to a subsidiary like Paruni to focus on other games as well? The Paruni Counter Strike servers were great fun and surely brought a few people over to Argonath and vice versa.

It's way too early to even consider this taking the current 'problems' in account.. but there's an ever-expanding universe of new players looking for a community where they can just have fun and enjoy themselves. All I'm saying is that at least I (and I'm sure a few others) wouldn't mind to eventually have more diversity in games/servers. It would definitely do this community good.

But again, I got ahead of myself and also realize that a lot needs to be done to even consider this. I'm just curious to see how the owners feel about it.

Although I am not one of the owners, we (CLs and some community members) have been talking about this. Its one of the reasons we were very keen to reopen a Minecraft server for Argonath.

That is like old dirty window which needs to be cleaned to see the street... As for me I was like - Let them breath out what was inside them and I will see where from is the wind... And yeah I understand what everyone is afraid of - that will not happen... As for now I liked things were done and I see that can be done more... With all what we have plus all what we can do = the normal run...

Players want scripts, roleplayers want fun, newbies want to understand server, admins want to feel safety, developers want to be sure and trust owners which just arrived from nowhere... This is how I do see a picture and this is why I am pissed off about all blames... You wanna blame or start build the community with the hell of support?

This topic will show - who is up to what...

Ps: and yeah I know I am a big fat troll but I also allow much towards me... For now... Once we will settle things with all who want to participate - I will put the protection over developers so that none will disturb them with the shit...

Yes, I already have some requests and suggestions.
While GTA is our base we have no problem going where the players are.
BUT. We need a team willing to be active and give up their time for more than just a month or so.
Building a server communnity takes months of time and effort, and can be destroyed in a week by no giving attenion.
