Actually I never knew it is Russian food, lol... Opposite I thought it is something like German food cao of name lol... Never made a thought that the word separates on Beef- and the name -Stroganov-...

Actually yes, it is popular, only not as it was long time ago...

I myself thought that the most known Russian food is: pelmeni, borsch and Vodka... :D

Since when Vodka is a food? But yeah I eat pelmenies a lot and vodka is also good, specially with some cucumbers on the side.

Drinks are related to food :)... BTW Russians have a saying "to eat Vodka"...
Cucumbers help not to be drunk fast ;)...

Pirogi are some sort of closed bread with apples/eggs(not the whole ones)/cabbage/meat/everything else that would be tasty.
My granny also makes "Bilyazhi", also some sort of pirozhok with lots of meat in it.
And the salad is actually "Oliviye" or "Olivie" without R, and it really has French origins.


Okay, Aragorn. Do you like Ukrainian Lard?

My grandmother is russian and whenever I got to see her (she lives in another city), she always suprises me with Pirozhki or a nice bowl of Borsh. I just love it and they go good with vodka, because they are greasy and they fit just like butt and underwear!
I just love russian food, have to admit that!
