Felix and I were bored, and none of us really likes GTA anymore, so we decided to have a competetion. First to get banned without flaming admins or any other lame stuff wins. Felix used a conventional deathmatching strategy, whilst I hit harder by stabbing Frank Hawk. It resulted in a freeze for him and admin jail for me. We stepped things up a bit, went to LSPD and signed in as freecops. We found ourselves a lawn mower and a golf clubcart. I went carkilling and flaming in public chat whilst Felix kept on with his deathmatch massacre.
I got banned by Pancher before Felix got banned, so therefore, I won. However, Felix got banned about two minutes later, for a reason I don't know, since I was banned.
You were probably one of the victims on out deathmatch-raid, so it was really nothing personal. It was just a competition, which I won.

This means I shall no longer join the server. I can't say I'm sorry for it, ever since Corleone lost the majority of its active members, it's been going downhill. Back in the days, you could organize a bank robbery or a kidnapping, and work with it for hours. It usually ended up with everyone getting killed (since the RP system of the server is f**ked). Still, it was pretty fun when 20 mobsters stood together on a roof, continuesly shooting at FBI, SWAT and ARPD closing in to arrest everyone.
However, things changed. The people who really did something for the family left. We all know about Wash and how he always killed the cops that chased him, only to be warned for cophunting or DM two seconds later. Since the majority of the admins were high-ranked cops, criminals never got fair treatment. It almost seemed as the admin team didn't want any criminal activity on the server whatsoever. I didn't understand why, and I still don't. What's more fun than chasing a bunch criminals fleeing in a stolen saloon-car, endlessly drivebying you and then finish it off with a massive shootout , man against man, except for being the criminals fleeing? Then the ARPD started losing these battles, because the number of criminals greatly increased. They responded with bringing in Hunters and Hydras, that of course completely ruined every criminal operation and any kind of organized criminal activity. Still, not everyone was allowed to use these new weapons of mass-destruction. Only the people who had responsibility, such as Ben_Samiir, could! Unfortunatley, Ben_Samiir had an even higher bloodlust than Wash_Corleone had when he was at his worst. Therefore it was often very interesting to see the shootouts between these to modern gladiators, both armed to the teeth with both body armour and automatic weapons. These fights usually ended up with Wash killing Ben_Samiir, Ben_Samiir respawning, returning to kill Wash that by the time had about half health, and then either Wash killed him again or Ben_Samiir ended the personal war. This procedure could replay multiple times a day, so it was never boring to be online when Wash_Corleone and Ben_Samiir was.
This time was about a year ago if I remember it correctly. Before that time, I had spent my time acting a mobster in first Stracci and then the cuban mafia of Montana. When I joined Stracci, I noticed that the leader, NitrOx had a dispute with [AV]FlameMan. They often argued, which ended up with NitrOx getting warned, since FlameMan had admin rights. One day, I told FlameMan that I needed to talk to him, and I brought NitrOx there aswell. I told them to stop acting as 5 year old girls, and they agreed to stop bickering with each other. After this meeting, I was instantly promoted to underboss in the Stracci family. Of course, Stracci never reached the strength that the Corleone family had, but I am pretty sure in saying that it would have died if I hadn't joined. A few days later, I recruited a guy called ollie_p, more known as Marty_Stracci or Ollie_Stracci. He now has the role (I think?) that I had. I got tired of NitrOx spending his time on LS:RP, so I left them. By this time, Montana was allied with Stracci, and I became friend with the leader of Montana, Michael (Spikmun). He had run the family since Fernando_Montana (now FBI director [Rstar]Fernando) left it in his hands. Montana was interesting in many ways. It never got big or had any major influence, yet it was a family created by some of the most well-known members the Argonath community has. For example CBFasi, MrsSvensson and [Rstar]Anto (I think?) helped create it.
Anyways, shortly after I joined Montana I left the server for about 3-4 months. When I came back, things had changed. Ollie and NitrOx was still running Stracci, but they had little power. Instead, Corleone was the absolute dominant mafia family on the server. Daniel, Violet, Wash, Wiwi and other members helped it gain strength. Michael_Montana had therefore left their side and teamed up with Corleone. We did some things with Corleone, and I thought "Why are we two different families if we do everything together?". Montana had about 5-6 active members by the time. I talked to Violet about Montana merging with Corleone, so that Corleone would "adopt" all the Montana members. He thought it was a great idea, and a week later, Corleone had 6 more members. This showed in /id Corleone. There were often 3-4 lines of Corleone mobsters online at the same time, always making life miserable for small gangs or people on their own (and of course the ARPD). We recruited more members, and Corleone grew even more. Though, for some reason, we started recruiting retarded people. The people within the family thought it was great to get manpower that could provide vital firepower in the massive shootouts that often occured between Corleone or the new mafia, Gvardia. Stracci was since a long time dying, and had few active members. This was the golden ages for me on the server, but as I had feared, the retards did more harm than good to the family. They started leaving, one by one, and soon the family was the same size as it was when Montana and Corleone merged. I got tired of playing, and I left the server once again. Wash had been banned, which was a great loss. Many other members had problems aswell, whether it was financial or even problems IRL, they got online more and more rarely.
About two weeks ago, I thought I should check in and see what had happened. Corleone had almost no active members at all. I didn't really bother since I hadn't planned on playing active again, but it still made me wonder. Where did it go so wrong? I asked the members that were still in, and they said that Violet had been banned as well, for "suiciding as suspect", when he tried to exit a burning helicopter in a police pursuit, but failed. I thought "well, that shouldn't take too long to fix, I mean, it's probably just a normal mistake". Seems I was wrong.
However, to sum up my 2 and a bit years stay here on Argonath, it's been up and down. When the groups I were in did well, it was great. When they didn't, it was crap. Though, changes in the server gradually worsened everything. I mean, no buying/selling cars between players? That was the whole point with buying a car - you would wait until the value rose. That was the way to make fair money. Instead, admins started spamming paydays, so that every imbecil that couldn't make a penny themselves got rich enough to buy a fancy car. It ruined the whole thing. You knew how a person was by judging from their car. Now everyone has Bullets, Infernuses and Buffalos, so cars doesn't work as lables of success anymore.
Though, the major problem of the server wasn't the retards, the inflation, the stupid car system or the annoying lag. It was the way the whole server was handled. It's supposed to be a RolePlay server, but really, it isn't. You can't teach a person without brains to RolePlay. Neither can you teach a person with no understanding of English how to play on the server. Some say it's a cops and robbers server, others say that it's a freeroam server (and get banned for it). I say it's neither and both. You usually "RP" a criminal or a cop (though most cops doesn't RP anything outside the usual /jail and /frisk rituals..). Of course there are some people that RP normal people, standing by GS9 all day, but that's not many. Also, I think that even these people shoot someone or speed in city sometimes. So, the freeroam comes from the right to take any car and drive almost anywhere, how much you want. You can run around without having any obligations what so ever. The cops and robbers-bit comes from the massive usage of /suspect [ID] [Reason] that's used by the law enforcement. Though, that's not all there is. I mean, the admins host huge destructionderbies, lotteries, "kill the hobo and get a reward-game" and other things aswell. So, putting your finger on what the server actually is, is hard. It's gone from being a RP server (principally) to a mixture of DM/RP/Freeroam/Playaround-server. And here lies to problem. The whole point with having different servers to chose from is that there should be some sort of multitude. If I want to go kill people for fun, I go to a DM server. If I want to drive a bike on jumps, I go to a stunt server. Argonath tries to be all these things, but ends up being neither of them.
Also, the admins unfair treatment of everything didn't exactly make things better. In 95 percent of all cases, the police was "right" and the "criminal" wrong. What's the difference between being a criminal and shooting a cop or being a cop and shooting a criminal when it comes to deathmatch? The only difference I can think of is that cops gets money for it, and criminals lose money, weapons and dignity. Face it, without criminals (and I don't mean retarded monkeys that drives around in a tow truck blowing things up outside LSPD), the server would be boring. So, give criminals more rights. Treat them fair. Because, after all, isn't that what Argonath stands for? Equal treatment for every player, whether you are from Russia, Albania or Sweden, whether you are criminal, cop or neither. On my two years here, it hasn't been fair. Criminals always has to eat the sandwich with poo on it in the end. Treat us better, or else there wont be criminals, and everyone who plays as a cop will be bored (ironic, isn't it)
Sorry for a wall of text and that none of it makes sense, I'm tired, hungry and bored, so I took half an hour from my life-account and did this. I'm also sorry if something I said offended someone or if any of the information isn't correct. I've just written what I can remember. I don't know why I wrote it though?
Plus, DMing everyone and acting a complete dick was pretty fun, although it got boring after a while. I still see why retards does it though - making people angry is a primitive way of excitement for the human. We can't help it.
