Indeed.
Ok , the mechanical side is not too good and parts arent always cheap. The plastic , dk it's not that bad as in the japs. Comparing to the other same class cars , french dont cost a whale and you dont get a complete piece of shit. And I like the design some of them , its not so booring as some japs , germans.
Okay.. I know you're prejudice and I know this is quite off topic but it drives me nuts how ignorant some people can be. It was quite hard for me to get around how decent of a car a french one can be.
When Peugeot was making this:

BMW was still making this:

Opel/Vauxhall this:

VW this:

And Ford were even more pathetic with this:

As far as interior quality goes let me give you another example:
Opel Astra MK2/B :

Which I gotta admit wasn't as pathetic as some other rivals such as the E36

Where as the 406 is an actual nice place to be in:

It even had a Satnav option which back in 94/5 was unheard of and did cost 2 grand for a small monochrome display but it was a working sat nav which works till today and they still offer updates for. Now I can tell you about cam belt changes - Yes its fucking ridiculous but its also failproof - Should the cambelt stop there is a system that lock valve movement so the engine doesn't enter self destruct mode. The diesel versions' glow plugs are notoriously hard to change due to the air intake for the turbo not being flexible etc. but outside of Africa normal people take their cars to a garage to do that sort of stuff matey

I mean I'm a Bulgarian so I will do it myself of course, apart from the cam belt cos its bloody large being a V6 and I dont have the correct tool to do the fine tuning etc. but all of that is pointless as you only change it once every what.. 130k km? maybe even 160. So all of your arguments have been proven untrue, thanks, now go get a real car.
