So I know I'm most likely the only dude on this forum with dreads, but It's still worth a shot...

Latley I have been finding insects in my dreads, not to mention it itches like if I had lice. This is allot more disgusting then it sounds, the insects all look the same, and are all relatively big hence I do not think they are lice.
However they do resemble body lice (http://www.entm.purdue.edu/pittendrigh_lab/images/pittendrigh-licethumb.jpg), wich then makes me think, what the f**k are body lice doing in my dreads, and how the f**k do I get them out?

I do not take the best care of my dreads, and I have been having this "problem" for a long time now, and they seem not to have infected anyone else in my surrounding. I'm considering using vinager, alcohol and cayene pepper in order to kill them all off, but if this doesn't work I will be forced to cut off my dreads...

And My dreads aint small either, I've been growing them for quite some time now and they go all the way down to my hip, all natural no fake hair etc. so I do not want to cut it all off...

Any suggestions? :)

Nah, but seriously, alchohol or vinager should work, I guess. Not to sure about the pepper. Can't really give you more than that.
Alcohol solves any problem in the world!

If you are going to use alcohol to take care of the "problem" let me know, I'll come help you and also take some cucumbers with me.

But to be serious, even if they do look like body lices they may not be one, and I suggest if you know anyone else who has dreads, then ask from him or from the guy who you had it made.

I asked many, many people I know with dreads and they all said that either they do not know how to, or to go with the alcohol / vinager / cayene pepper.

I'm going to go dip my head in some vodka and vinager now though, hopefully it will work.
