this is a game i discovered a couple of weeks ago, and personally i really enjoyed it
it has been made by 2!! persons, husbands, from turkey,
over the years they got help from an official company in games
its a cheap game, that will get updated once in a while, for free
you can download the game with a free trial, which goes up to lvl 7 of the character,(around 30-60 minutes, all depending what you do)
then it will save the game and stop it
after that you can buy it on internet, which will get you a serial key,
for a price of around €23,-
personally i got the trial version still, but im going to buy the full version once i got paypal good

what sort of game is it?its difficult to really place it into 1 group, it got parts of different sorts in it:
at the first look you would say strategy game,
but when you start fighting you will see its not really a strategy game
the fighting more reminds of San andreas, but then with swords and horses
also it got parts of RP in it, since you play a role inside your kingdom,
at the start as just a soldier, doing some low quests for your lords
but you will move up in rankings
so i cant really give it 1 group, you should try the trial version and find out yourself
what you think
the game itself:you will start with choosing some options,
like what was your father?(thief, warrior, hunter, nobleman, etc...)
what did you do yourself?(crafstman apprentice, university student, troubadour, shops assistent, etc.....)
why do you go on an adventure?(lose of a loved one, personal revenge, etc........)
this choice is important for the location you start in Calradia, the name of the place you play
there are 5 kingdoms in the game:
-Kingdom of Vaegirs(green)
-Kingdom of Nords(yellow)
-Kingdom of Rhodok(light blue)
-Kingdom of Khergit (purple)
-Kingdom of Swadia (orange)
outside that you got the bandits
including: mountain bandits, sea bandits, forest bandits, deserters, looters
the bandits are walking all around the map, and will try to rob you if they are strong enough
so you made your choices and ended up in a certain area of the map
then you have to make more choices for further in the game
the walking goes with your mouse, click a place and they will go there
except when you are at special places, there you will use normal controls as WASD, in combat you use WASD for example
which kingdom would you like to join? or do you stay more neutral and do things for all kingdoms?
for example the Vaegirs, then you should go to there locations,
villages, castles and cities,
every kingdom got multiple lords, every lord is the leader of a castle/city and a village
you can go to his main hall and talk with him, in most cases they will have some quests for you,
in the start the quests will exist of bringing letters to other lords, finishing hitman contract and collecting debts and taxes
you will get some money for doing this quests, and also relation with the lord and the kingdom he is part of will increase
also you can do tournaments and melee fights, tournaments are hold in cities all around the map
if you have found one you can place bets on yourself, which can earn you a lot of money
it will have around 60 fighters who will try to fight there way through every round in teams(red, yellow, green and blue)
and in the final it will be 1 vs 1
the weapons you can use depends on which kingdom it is in,
some will mostly use polearms, others archery and another swords
while travelling you will come across bandits, which you can charge if they rob you or pay them money,
in the start you wont be able to pay, or it will be a big part of your money you have to give away
so you attack them, there will always be some stuff laying on the ground if you win,
so you can pick up hats, weapons and sometimes even horses who survived
and a little bit of money
also if you knock them unconscious instead of killing them, you will be able to capture them, and sell them later on
you must have the prisoner management skill for it though
if you lose they will get you as prisoner, and sometimes you lose some inventory,
you will escape after a while from them
what to do with money?you can buy new equipment in cities, new armoury or a weapon, and horses also
also you can hire units in the taverns, they will then join your party and will fight with you
but beware! they cost money every week, and you will also need food in your inventory
to get money/supplies you can also attack villages, sometimes villagers will give you supplies for free,
but sometimes you will have to fight your way through 50 villagers
once you earned lots of money your party will also be able to grow more and more,
you will get harder quests, and the chance to join a kingdom
1 lord will then say: the king asked me to hire new soldiers for the war,
if you accept you will be part of the kingdom
which will make enemies, you cant enter other villages easily anymore,
you will have to hide yourself
you will get missions to capture enemy soldiers, or to get to a spy
tell the spy a strange centance, and if its the spy he will answer on the good way
and will give important information
you can also siege enemy castles to take them over, but this early its not smart to do so
once your army has grown to around 50 units you will get invitation from your kingdom to become a lord yourself,
if you go to the king you have to do some oad and then you will receive your own villages
where you get taxes from, and you can do things in it, building a school for example
this is how far you can get with your trial version, at least if you do it on the good way,
else you will rank up very fast
how goes the inventory?you will have to think of runescape like things, places where you can place your stuff, and transfer other stuff into

leveling up?leveling goes by experience you gain from doing some things, when you level up:
you got 3 different rows, first is with things as intelligence, charisma, agility and strength
2nd is much more deeper with things as horse archery, shield, leadership, persuasion, prisoner management and much more
and the last is about the profiency of weapons, 1 handed/2 handed/polearms/crossbow/archery/throwing
every level you will get new points at every row, which you can use to increase some points
time of the game?medieval times, you dont have to think about seeing tanks and all,
you will have archers, horse riders and all that sort of medieval stuff
how does the fighting works?for me this is a rather unique fighting system in war like games
you will be riding a horse while fighting normally
its not strategic fighting as you will expect in such sort of games, where you lead a bunch of fighters
you will fight in the middle of your units, you will really play for yourself instead from above commanding units
you will be controlling your horse with movements keys(wasd) and using your mouse to use your weapon
and to release it on time against your enemy, so its a bit of first person fighting war game
and i never have seen any war game using that sort of fighting
cod got that yes, but CoD is a much different game then mount&blade
mount&blade is most of the time from above, like empire total war controlling your units

i really liked the game, and its cheap to buy full version,
and the trial is for free, so i recommend to try to trial version, doesnt take long to start with it
