Hi,

I have been playing on Argonath for around 3 weeks now (some of you may have seen or spoken to me.) and finally got my citizenship/passport over the weekend.
I have generally had a very good experience with this server and am trying my best to RP along with everyone and stick to the rules.

I have a few questions that have come to mind while i have been playing, (i have not been able to find answers to these in the forums.)

I am a cop at the moment and have been paid twice, about 3k each time.
Can anyone confirm if paydays are at set intervals or set times and do you have to be online to get paid.
(I understand that if you have paydays at a certain time, then everyone will login for this only, and also everyone will only be cops).
For this reason are they just random luck?

I have been to the bank and asked for /loan (it tells me i have a limit of $300,000 over 2 months.
I am aware this is only for a business and you do have to have a home to own a business.
can someone tell me are there any businesses i can buy that are under $300,000 as the cheapest one i have seen was $330,000?
Can someone also give new players an idea on how much they may expect to earn on businesses, and if there are outgoings?

when playing as police, there have been a few cases where i have found a suspect and asked them to surrender, and they have told me they are being abused.
on a couple of occasions i have seen people commit a crime and then /su then they tell me their innocent and ask admins to unsus.
admins have then unsus these players, i have /su again as i saw them commit crime with my own eyes but then i am told don't abuse /su.
whats the deal with this? if i am a cop and i see a civ commit a crime why am i wrong for /su?

Work? i am having trouble finding any other paying work other than cop, which is not reliable and is no way to become rich.
i have asked people for jobs as if i am earning i do not mind to rp any job that someone wants, but nobody has offered me work.
I have also tried selling RP goods such as foreign foods and counterfeit watches etc.. and nobody wants to buy as they obviously do not get anything real for their money.
please any ideas on making money as a new player other than cop.

Unowned cars, i have been scouring the map for decent unowned cars to try and sell for a small finders fee. i had managed to get a fee for one but 99% of the time nobody is interested. does anybody ever pay anything for unowned cars or is this a waste of time?

Buying a house, when buying a new unowned property, how do you know how much they cost?
i go up to the door of a unowned house and /purchase but nothing happens or "nothing to purchase here".
how do you go about buying a house and how much should you generally pay for an unowned house and interior.
also if you buy a house do you then have to buy an interior or does it have one as default?

also the same question as above but for businesses.

it depends, there are a few below 300.000, however they are owned. if you would like to buy a bizz that is owned by a person, so from person to person, this may be a costy thing.

depending on the fee you put, and the kind of bizz you got

Only admins can unsus if they think its recuired, and the person has been suspected wrongly. it's strongly recommended not to sus a person from doing the same thing as he got unsuspected for, or 15 seconds after he got unsuspected.

you can become a driver at los santos airport by typing '/driver', you can become a hooker in a stripclub by typing '/hooker'.
you can also become a medic by typing '/medic' infront a hospital. you can also become a fireman by typing '/fireman' at the firedepartment at rodeo.

most of the time, this is because only the less worthy cars are unowned. therefor nobody wants to pay for it.

there will always be a 'value' visible when you go and stand in the marker. there you will see how much they cost.

make sure you stand in the marker, if you don't see a visible marker, move around a bit or a bit to the back.

the price of a unowned house is based on the exterior and the interior. the prices of interiors are fixed, so they each have a specific price. you can always ask a admin to change the interior if you own the house. the house price may rise / decrease according to the value of the interior

also if you buy a house do you then have to buy an interior or does it have one as default?

it has one as default, but as said above you can request a admin level 4+ in game to change the interior

Admins do paydays at random times. They are just random money payouts to everybody online.
Paydays are not "being paid", you are paid for actually arresting people or shooting people.

Sometimes people will say that, check with admins and the cop who suspected. If its valid, shoot away.

You're almost correct, as far as I've found in the last 2 years copwork is the only reliable way to make money, and even that is very slow going now.

Not a lot of people will pay for an "RP job" apart from developers, Rage Inc., or very rich people who are generous (can't name any, actually).

Same as above, I'm afraid. Not many people are generous enough to do it.

You'll have to find cars that people want. Not a lot of people want Majestics or Windsors, for example. But an unowned Premier can fetch 20k-30k.

Thats a few questions answered, hopefully others may elaborate in detail on a couple of them.

Whenever trying to buy a house, make sure the house is 'set'. A house set is a house that can be used. Higher level admins can set houses, but at the moment, no houses are being set. Walk up to a house and if you see the sentence "For Sale", the house is set and for sale (obviously :p). The value of the house will show as well. That's an unowned house. Houses that are owned are named, and if you like the house, I suggest you contact the owner. Some people hide the information of the house using /namehouse, though. Same goes for buisness.

Panda can you let me know what other rare unowned cars people would pay for?

I have been all over and havent seen a house that is set but is unowned, is this normal?
i have never seen a price on a house, and what marker symbol would there be?

i can however see owned houses by going to the door and it will say the persons name etc.. is this just the same for unowned houses?
do i just keep going door to door untill i will find one unowned?

Also the same for businesses, i have seen many shops with no marker, they say nothing when i go to the door so does this mean they are not set?

It can often be hard to find an unowned house that you might like. But there are some. I could help you find one the next time I see you.
If you have never seen a price of a house, the owner has hidden it. The default house information looks like this:
- Owner (if it has one)
- House ID
- Value of the house
(Missed something?)
When someone buys a house, it is custom that they hide it with /namehouse. With that command you could make starts around the name, and remove anything you like. This is not allowed for a buisness. If you see a buisness with hidden information, report it to admins. (Is it allowed for houses though?)
Oh yea. Buisnesses always has a marker. Owned or unowned. No marker = not set.

yes i have seen owned houses, with the details on them, i just havent found any unowned.

do you know the average cost for a small unowned house?
as i do not have much cash and would like to know a goal that i need to save for.

and yes if i see you in game and you could show me an unowned house it would be much appreciated.

Uhm, I am not sure what the minimum price for a house is. It might be between 60-100k. That's your goal

I am assuming you do not yet have a drivers license. With a passport you can now apply for one. It's easier getting a job with a license now a day!
