I think selling Ronaldo is a good choice of Ferguson, we get money enough to buy other good players + Ronaldo has made a bit mess of his HIGH role in United. It's also a bit sad, he was/is a very good player.
Real Madrid makes a mistake buying him. He wont fit in there.
Anyways Manchester United is scouting Franck Ribery, a very good player. He'll come for 40 millions I think.
Also a lot good young players can get possibilities to try that position.
