Admins.. To serve and protect?

Hello Argonath, I am posting here once again, not to complain, but to debate a topic which has been in my mind lately.
The actions of our Server Admins.

Nowadays, Administrators of our servers are seeming less focussed on our servers RPG purpose, To Roleplay, and are seeming more obsessed with punishing anything they see fit, no-matter what
the background of the situation is, or how it came to happen.

I was kicked today for expressing my hate for the RS4 bugs, as I had been carjacked by a well-known police officer, and as a result I died... and lost weapons ect. <- This can be frustrating, and as I am easily frustrated, I ranted a bit on /p. I know this is not ideal to get the problem off my chest, but It was what I did. But anyway. I was kicked without warning for the reason "Leave Then". <- THIS. Is the most irritating thing I have ever experienced. It is not helpfull, it is not constructive, Its purely irritating. Admins do this ALOT nowadays, It just makes the player being punished more irritated and frustrated.

Then I thought to myself when I had calmed down, Maybe if the admins had on /pm tried to talk to me, as I am a well known player... and tried to calm me down - Admins are there to help players, right?

Well, That kick was not helping anyone.

I have not opened this topic to rant about that Instance, and if you think that, You have severely missed the point. This is what admins are resolving to nowadays, and isntead of helping they are using there commands against Argonaths regular players.

Also, other restrictions such as the Property one. "We cannot set houses in buildings that are (meant to be) businesses". I cant think of a single reason for this at all. (Apart from maybe a clucking bell, or recognised businesses). But the Likes of Sky-Scrapers ect, People have houses in high-rise buildings IRL, so why not in Argonath? The only people who seem to be against setting properties in highrise buildings are the Admins. If regulars dont see a problem, then surely there is no problem?

Im sure quite a few people are now seeing things the way I do... And I really hope something is done to change it. Its feeling less like a community nowadays. I wont leave Argonath as I know it has good intentions, and as I have been in this community for over a year now, Im not about to abandon it. but PLEASE, Admins... Think about it before you punish someone, there are other options than banning and kicking! People rant because they have a reason, maybe learn what it is first... and see if you can do anything to help.

What can I say? The admins on Argonath like to be punished and want to control everyone, no matter what, the Admins will punish anyone for any tiny reason EVEN if they do it themselves so that it can make theyre day.

Well, in my eyes admins did the right thing. They gotta control 100+ players, specially now when the server is offical and theres alot of newbies. Yelling your problem at mainchat is just not neccesary, admins got their hands full and they cant react immeaditly. Begin admin is hard and if someone yells in mainchat makes it even harder.

Well maybe the server being Official is a bad thing? If admins cannot see to the needs of its regular loyal players, in exchange for Official status, then isnt the server better-off being un-official? Would that not be better off for everyone?

Well. Since i am not a official admin, i can count myself as admin.

Most of the time, when i am on admin duty, and i see people have a conflict, i try to stop them in the main chat.
If it isnt working, i PM one player, to not react on the other player, if they still go on i will give a banana. And if its really worse, i could give the player a warn. I would never kick anyone.

Twenty, you are one of the few admins who kept to the Regulars interests, You try to resolve conflicts peacefully by trying to resolve the problem, instead of just cutting it off with a kick.

Its like cutting the head of a weed, Unless you de-root it, It will just grow back...

There is a right and wrong here.

Right - Admins don't really do as good as they used to (do not think im an admin hater, wait until you read the 'wrong') and usually do not tend to go into it and go through logs and everything like it was before, now it's a 'you do wrong, it's a warn/kick/ban' instead of a 'Well ok I will try to look into this' and this is an example of it. A lot of the time, lately, this has happened, unless there are at least 13+ admins to try to control this, but it is still quite a challenge. Due to this, there is less complaining, a good thing, but if there are less admins and this happens it becomes a huge fight in chat and someone get's kicked / banned.

Wrong - This isn't the admins fault really. Because it's the summer, there is much chaos and new players are joining and usually the server peaks at 100-125 every day and you also notice even later after the server goes quiet there are still 20-50 people and with usually 2-3 admins only level 3 at most. The reason for this is most admins are very close to server's hosting area and they are all usually asleep. Because im in america, im usually on when the server peaks to when it goes down to 20-50 because thats when it's 1:00PM to 8:00PM. Around 3:00PM where im at it reaches its medium point of 51-80 people. So anyway, There are very few admins on when the server is quieter, but still chaotic, and is usualyl level 1-2 admins. Maybe more American Admins or from any timezone that usually would come on when the server is in it's sleep mode for most of the people who play, because that is when hackers come on most and there is much trouble. Once i was killed 10 or so times by a unlimited ammo sawnoff and kept killing me at a field before i could even run away. I luckily was saved by another guy, who had taken me away on a bike. And to make it funnier, the guy that saved me ALSO got banned like 20 mins later for using Weapon hacks (for free ammo).

Overall, yes, the admins work is not as good as it used to, but it isn't all their fault, there are usually a lot of people on and more than they can handle, and they have no time to take 20 mins and deal with 1 situation. It's like every admin has turned into Gimli, but instead of people begging for lotto its begging for help or some other thing.

Admins do the way they see it's the best, you got kicked now, but why? You may lost your nerves easily, but when you do(first use /report..), just simply go offline for while, come back after you are calm and try to explain things instead of yelling in main chat.

Me I would talk just about the reason" Leave Then" Its not a Valid Reason to kick a regular Player.....this is Not the first one By Argonath admins ive been saw some reasons thats gives The server Bad Picture since its Official.Kick for Bye For Lol for see u For No im not.........Most of admins think that The reason is given just for the kicked player but its not All players on Server must know Why the Player is kicked.

Exactly, admin should use proper reason for warns, kicks, tempbans and permbans.
