It is hard on people who have earned all their money by working to reset it.
On the other hand, when we started we had only a money cheat detecting system for large amounts. As we understood some regular players understood and abused the system, we added a new cheat detection, and caught a number of regulars on cheats.
We are working on a system where we can detect people abusing multiple accounts for money harvesting, the first results are already coming in.
Add to this the tricks of abusing bets and missions.

So for us when we see a player with a lot of money there is no way to know, was he lucky in the beginning not to be caught or was it earned by hard work. I do not like to take posessions from players, but on the other hand I want to be able to trust that players with a lot of money got it in an honest way.

This is the discussion the developers have......

I dont really like mole missions, its true all can be abused....  FFS no good comes out of them!

  Instead of mole missions... maybe government can organise races etc, or allow admins (high level) to make mole missions and can watch over, although then they are likely to dissapear completely. Anyway, what mole missions are you planning on keeping... to my knowledge, although I hate to say, I think Fight club is the one least complaints about, least abuse i think. Races I like the best, but can be abused a lot etc..... the car theft one isnt bad.... not sure if that has bin abused...

  Hmmm, so whats the plan with the mole missions then? Cuz they are sort of the snakes head, if you know what I mean.

For me..... devastating             and Im not joking...  this abuse has spoilt it, and for somene who rarely partakes in mole missions (occasional race or moneytill) it makes it extra sucky..... :conf: :neutral

  Understand where your coming from... but the worst thing may be the best thing..... I wouldnt mind losing money, just not all of it, money earnt since the start.

 I will then lose all the have worked for from the first day on server and many of us since we know we are losing money can now RP more into 0.2 comes since we know all of are money is gone I think its a ok thing to do and you can spot of money cheaters as well easier since we all have same amount of money, but do admins keep there money?

Than what is the point making money in 0.2 ...
Than 0.3 will come out, and money will be resetted again ...
Than 0.4 ...
And many others ...

The decision is not final yet, as there are a lot of issues to think of.
Inside the developers group the feeling between resetting all and not resetting anything changes from week to week.

The missions are creating money within the system, and for the economy to run a certain amount of money must be created. If we stop the current missions, we will have to have enough alternative ways in which money is introduced in to the system.

  For me, multiply by 3.5, multiply the effort, the time spent earning that cash...

NE way, Hell has a very good point, any rich people from the start of the server can start to enjoy RP in its entirety when they have what they want, and dont need to worry about money.

  We dont want to get rid of mole missions, just stop them from being abused by regulars, as this is the reason for money being reset. It sucks. I can see why this discussion is very hard atm for you guys

If all the money is reset, then for a couple of weeks/months, the whole idea of RP will go with all of the people being cops and killing without asking surrender (It's not like they do ATM anyway) to get their wealth back.

No its not.. Keeping money will be not good.. as if the ppl who collected every single Cent they could get.. will have a big advantage above all ppl who have less money or are new.. everyone should have a chance of gettin/starting even.. just start a new life and play..

Mole missions will be removed from 0.2 version (80%)...
If this decision developers will take - money will be resetted (possible - 80%)...

The idea is: Mole missions gave to the current players a lot of money: mole missions were totally abused by regulars...
If mole missions will be removed from RPG system - the new players will not have the same possibilities as had old players (easy money)...
