Developers, I can not believe you are even thinking about this. I reckon there's about 100 people on this server with over 150k, which they WORKED for. 100+ people, working their asses off for 100k+, then just like that, the server goes all emo about new players joining...Sorry for any body I may be dissing, but, as Tice said, new players join every day. We do not reset the server then, so maybe we should treat this upgrade as "another day" ?

Why should a major update make a difference? The update has no reason to require us to lose all our money.

The update has no reason to require us to lose all our money.

It has... In version 0.1b you did not need to work or roleplay really to get money... Also all missions of version 0.1b were totally abused by regulars (rpg veterans)... As developers have no any wish to check all 2500 accounts logs who abused when and how - they can make a reality a disicion to reset all accounts...

We do not want some abusers to lead the finances of Argonath SA:MP...

To those who screams, that people will leave server:

1. If virtual money are more important for you then the community of server - you can go right now, even if money will not be resetted...
2. Developers have a lot of experiences before opening their own servers... The experience says - servers do not lose players cos of resetting money... So it is a bullshit... I was one of those players, who lost money twice in internet game cos admin resetted accounts... I earned back what I wanted in 2 weeks...
3. Once again: if the earning money will be totally changed - all who earned money in easy way of 0.1b - will lose their account money...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

I think money  should be kept because as someone said before you get so far in the game for it to be resetted? And then 0.3 and 0.4 might come out and the same thing will happen.

That's true, but how will it change in 0.2? People find ways around stuff.

People will just start abusing again to get their money back, they will always find ways around scripts.

Well, money IS a big part of Argonath, and makes the community what it is. I never said it's more important then the community, but I think resetting it all will damage it alot.

Fair point, but it's the fact that people really don't see the need to earn back their money, and would rather stay with what they've got. It just seems unneccecary.

But think of the concequinces of doing that - people will be desperate to earn all their lose cash back. They will try anything that can earn cash quick, and abuse it.

edit: I dunno, I guess this should be locked. Everyone will just keep arguing...

Talking about checking accounts.
we have 15.400 platers accounts on SA:MP (all 2007).
of them 7.544 were active last month.
and 633 were active last 24 hours.

The resetting of money and user accounts is not something we thought of today.
To make the new scripts do what we want we need a new player database, where we will store other and different data.
With the experience we have there will be new scripts, built from 0 lines. So if we need to save money we must read old accounts and save them in to new ones. If we do this for all players, we get a lot of files that will never be used. If we do it for limited time, what if an older player comes back ? We could make a convert command for players to do it by themselves, but that would need a lot of testing and delay the whole script making.
As we are now designing a new system to our wishes, this system will be used in the future and will be made compatile with future versions.


Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

I got another idea , JUST RESTART ALL ACCOUNT , it will bea  new start with 0.2 :) YOu'll fight to work to get money to buy..it won't be cool (today you start the 0.2 server and after 24 hours all things are bought!Not cool

Why do you complicate that much ?Do scripts and stuff and restart all accounts like i said
0.2 =a new beggining for all :)
