It will be easyer to manage if each SOTW is in a different topic. Saves cluttering up this one.

Oh so every week your going to open a new topic? Or keep week records in the 1 specific topic?

And how sick would it be if this topic was sticky :)

using tutorials is fine, i do it myself, but you need to give credit, where it is needed.

proper format would be,

here is a sample of my work, but i did not totally create it.

What was the point of showing me this?
The point is that she made it, and made it good.
I too started by tutorials. You showing me this is pointless.

I deffinatly do not have power over if you will be removed from the team or not, or what actions will take place. it is up to you Driggz

Pixel for Pixel it is matched. If you wish to defend yourself, do not do it here. please take it up with Driggz personally.

If you look closely you will see a number of differences.
- The text advanced is in another place
- The cloud effect is (slightly)different
- the number of stars is different.

While made by the tutorial, it is not just an edit but a picture made through the tutorial. That makes it an original work.

Just want to add this:
Unfortunately many 'professionals' work by the same method of taking parts that look good, making a small edit or mask and selling it as their original work. While in cases of copyright and authorship a small number of differences is enough to call it 'original', reality is that taking a picture and applying a standard filter is not very 'original'at all.

the Argonath design group should realise this and try to come up with astounding work that does not contain elements or slightly edited versions that are freely available, but things that they created from scratch.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

Tutorials are there to be used. IMO Making things that look similar to them is fine. Its the best way to learn. You dont see people going on photoshop n going ooo whats this button, An Adjustment layer of Curves? I instantly know how to use this Bam. I ARE PRO..... thats not how it works.

I admint work that is 100% your own is more of a satisfying feeling. But if you use a tutorial then so what.

When i started, i used tutorials to :).
It is one of the BEST ways to learn new techniques, also you can share PSD's, so you can see what he or she has done ;)

As for now :) , I don't use Tutorials anymore i just use my imagination.

Ive used tutorials when i started. When i first got Photoshop, I didn't know what the hell I was doing, I went to find some tutorials, learned new teqniques, and continued off of that.

I used one simple smudge tutorial once, and I can create loads of my own smudge signatures that look completely different from each other.

I would like to resign from the team, sorry for the inconvenience. ;)
