I already know how homophobic my parents are, so I have no intention of telling them any time soon. Once I get my own life going, if it comes up, I'll probably tell them, but it's not something I would just say out of the blue.

Though, if I ever do tell them, I would much prefer this over the phone or something, because I have no interest in dealing with their shame and homophobic comments.

I haven't plan on waiting until I move out.

That's the way to go if you've got homophobic parents especially, because while you're living with them, they've always got ways to f**k up your life, just because of their own ignorance.

I dont think ill get my 'face smashed in' LMAO, my dad is not religious, and my mum is buddist (thank f*ck, LOL), but I still dunno how they will react.

They are your parents, and will always be. If they could live through your first months of crying, your being ill and all other things, they will still love you no matter what.

It your decision of when or how to tell them.
If you are really having a hard time to speak to them openly, write them a letter.
Explain that it is not something you discovered over night, and that you are absolutely certain about it.
Tell them how hard it is four you to tell it to them, but that you are ready to discuss all the problems surrounding it with them.

lool, well I use my own computer and they dont really know about Argonath.. even thought ive been part of the community for quite a while 

And I think the letter idea is a great idea, really is. I think I might do that sometime infact.. Means I can get everything I need to say down in one go, instead of having to explain everything in person.
And as much of a nervous person I get, I think a time like this would be just too much for my nerves to handle. So the letter idea really is the best ive heard so far.

Although doing it in person would be very awkward, I wouldn't like the idea of a letter because I would still want a real-time response and one that I could respond to instantly, even if it's a bad response that I'm receiving. I'm sure some other people would prefer making a letter, but not me.

I am afraid mainly because my dad, as he is homophobic and would be very upset if I was gay, he says its something no parent would want to hear...

I think he fears my brother (who is actually doing fairly well with ladies...just not good lucking ones) won't get married and have kids or something, and I'm the only who can, but I know he will. I've thought of that also, not being able to carry the family on, but I'm sure my brother can. I honestly don't see any big deal, I'm just like anybody else except I am not sexually attracted to women. My dad also constantly bugs me about no having a girlfriend its really annoying, I have no idea what to say besides I haven't found anybody I liked yet, he already suspects something I think.

I will admit, that I was homophobic, but I've started to respect people who are BiSexual/Gay, you guys are normal people, no different.
