Well i dont know about you, but i sure dont want my kid to have full sexual education, on the age 5. Its like telling him there aint no Santa Close, no Farytales etc etc.

Childrens shoud stay in imagination,  at least till they start going in school etc.

Well I think it is better to tell them the truth. Maybe not the whole truth, but still truth. At the age of 4 I knew that in some way, I am from my fathers testicle (I know because I once told it to my kindergarten teacher after she asked me "What do you think, where do babies come from?), ok I probably didn't had the knowledge about sex, as the book from where I got those knowledge basically said that it is a special kind of cuddling.
I think It is quite good, because later my bubble at least wasn't broken in school when they basically say, that there is no stork.

Parades are parades, you can have a parade for anything. They are for entertainment, fun, etc etc. There are many types of parades of all different kinds.. from the weird, to the wonderful. So why not have a gay parade?

I know what you pointing out, i understand it, but still your making a diference betven GBLT population and rest of population by making that kinda of annoucing. If not for anything else, at least GBLT groups shoudnt make does cause of the negative effect, and borders that is automaticly created betven people, by does kinda of manifest(typo).

This might be just irrelivant, but I thought ide mention it anyways. These days ive also seen LGBTQ around, google it.

I think its new and only recently came into popularity, Q stands for 'Queer' or 'Questioning'. Prevously 'Queer', just meant 'weird'.. etc, but now it just means anything but Gay, Bi, or Transgender, and not Straight... Heres a extract from wikipedia:

What do you think of this guys? Have you seen this before?

@Italic: Cofi, I understand where you're coming from by saying that there would be a "border" drawn between gays and heterosexuals, and there is one whether they have their parades or not. @Bold: Cofi, as I said before, whether there are parades or not, people will always have a problem with homosexuals. And think of this, they're called "Gay Pride" parades for a reason, if whatever country you're from just won a war, or had a peaceful outcome to a conflict, they're more likely going to have a Pride Parade to celebrate the Pride they have for their nation, same thing for homosexuals.
And if you don't want your offspring to be exposed to that, keep them in the dark so they become god-fearing, homo-hating repressed rejects of society.

Never heard of queer being used like that. I only took at as another word for being gay.
