I think im the only one on the forum who is into Progressive Metal/Rock apart from Link9rly, though I might be wrong.

I'm into a bit of prog myself with such bands as Tool and Coheed & Cambria. I'm also into relared to prog stuff like Mogwai (post rock), Envy (screamo/post rock combo), Rinoa (progressive hardcore) and also Devil Sold His Soul (Progressive Hardcore).

Ever heard of Opeth? I would expect you know them, but I dont listen to them. Pretty heavy Prog Metal, deep shouting and all that.
But not all of their stuff is really heavy.

I can't stand Blowpeth (bad pun I know). They bore me senseless and some of their fans are some of the snobbiest I've ever came across. Mind you prog does have alot of pretentious snobbish hipster types.  You should check out Cynic who I think you'd like. Highly technical prog with some strange vocals thanks to the use of a vocoder.

Oh yeah I know Cynic, they are one of Dream Theater's supporting acts in many tours, especially in Europe.
Through I havnt actually listened to any of their stuff yet, ill check them out.

Guys! I made a clever way of coming out to my parents  
Atleast, I think its clever  :razz:

This is how it goes:
Right now I have finished production on my next album and have made album artwork, and also artwork for the next-next album. While making these two.. I decided to include colours/things in the background corrisponding to the Pride Flag. Now ofcourse.. I could just put the whole flag onto one album, but this would be too obvious.

But, make TWO albums and have one half on one, and the other half on the other.

Usually when Ive finished an album, I always play it all the way through for my parents downstairs on the stereo before releasing to stores.. so when both albums are done being shown. I will say 'Mum, Dad. I need to show you something  '.

1) I will get the first album, and show them the front (1st pic)

2) I will then get the second album, and show them the front, seperately (2nd pic)

3) Then I say.. notice anything? They will ofcourse say 'hmm.. no', I know they will say this cos they are quite predictable at times like these  

4) Then.. I get both albums, but them side by side so the pictures on the front are like the 3rd pic.

5) Then I say 'Notice anything yet?' If they don't notice it, ill give it to them to let them work it out. Cos I do not just want to say 'this is the pride flag, im gay etc etc ETC.' lol

Maybe eventually if they dont know, ill end up writing the letter idea.

I knew someone would ask that, and my opinion from my obvious point of view is that its just a huge piss take towards gay people cos that character is incredibly camp and out of this world-ridiculous and offensive. But, from my open minded view.. It is ofcourse Sasha Baren Cohen... this is the sorta thing he does. Creates outragous characters. Borat obviously offended many people of Kazakstan.. Bruno obviously towards gay people.. both in a jokey and outragous way.

But.. well, I dont care that much about this. Its a movie designed and made to be outragous and make people go O_O.. so yeah.
People watching his movies cant be that stupid to think all his characters are real and what Kazakstan is like, and what gay people are like. Its just a huge piss take.. anyone who walks away from watching any of his movies thinking that is what the real world is like needs to get some sense into their brain, lol.

So yeah, as much as I think its stupidly outragous and somewhat annoying to think its a piss take towards gay people - I dont care that much. Comedy is Comedy, and when it comes to this man.. he's known for some of the most outragous comedy in the world.

One thing you gotta remember - Around 70%+ of Gay people act average and look average. NOT like 'Bruno'.

Its not only homosexuals in that 65%.. its ofcourse any other sexuality, including bisexual and bi-curious. Infact most teenagers actually go through phases from 10-18 when they start experimenting and thinking about these things and eventually land on a specific sexuality after much confusion.

None of the less, this is actually true guys.. think about that for a second.
Minds can be molded easily as a child, this is how most homophobes are around today.. which then leads to people covering up their actual sexuality.

Not only homosexuals but the number goes for anybody who is closeted, so that means bisexual aswell.. but Mike didnt mention that  :razz:

My biology teacher said that around 1 in 5 people are born gay or bisexual.. but are raised to be straight. As in.. their parents are really homophobic to the extent they are raised to be not what they are. Some people get outta this brainwash  :razz:

Right now, 1 in 30 people (approxamatly) are closeted, or open gays/bisexuals.
