Anyways, as some of you know - I started my new college recently. The equality there is brilliant! Everyone is treated the same, and everyone is friendly towards each other.

There are many homosexual and bisexual people in my college, and they arn't afraid of admitting it or.. 'looking it' cos everyone is fine with it. Heck, there is even a transexual in the year below :P

So my question to all is this;
What is your school/college/university like when it comes to LGBT people? Are there openly Gay and Bi people in your school/college/university? If so, are there many? Do people get along with them and treat them like normal or do they get outcasted?

No offense, but since your going to a Performing Arts College, there's bound to be LGBTs that aren't afraid of admitting it.  It's just how things are now-a-days.

Okay yes true. But I can also say that it is generally accepted alot in London, not every single place, but generally.
Not just my college.

Also, if you see a very camp looking guy.. lets say, on teh bus - most people tend to ignore that person and go 'meh'.
If you see two guys holding hands, there will be alot of people going O_o ofcourse. But depending on the area, most will just ignore it in London.

I know that things are very different in East London and places like Brixton and all those 'rough' areas though..

Nobody will openly admit anything like that because whilst, in all honesty, there is no physical bullying in my school - people will still pick up on that and take the piss.

Every single sentence directed at another person at my school is usually an insult, unless that person has nothing worth insulting. This kind of thing would just be a massive point to pick on and be offensive about.

As for acceptance.. heck I'm on the fucking list and even I have some trouble with it when I see same-sex couples.
Frankly, I have a problem with the whole concept and I can't say I'm happy with the idea of same-sex marriages. The idea of family is too strong in my head. A problem with myself perhaps then but whatever, its not like anyone cares anyway.
