You should not, by definition, be proud to be gay.
You should also not be proud to be straight, or English, or a male, or whatever else.
Pride in something you had no part in, and were born into, is illogical.

For example, I am proud of Araatus because I had a part in creating it.
I am not "proud" of being white, I was born that way.
Yes, in the common usage of the word, I could say "I am proud to be white" because, hey, I am - however logically you should not have pride in something that you were born with or into.

No offence to anyone intended at all, but why would you actually want to be gay? I mean, I can see why you would choose to be bi (as many people will no doubt insinuate throughout my life ) but I don't know why you'd limit yourself so much and open yourself to such social misunderstanding....... out of choice.

Those who flaunt their sexuality are usually out-there, openly gay, dress "gay" and act gay - all a bit of attention seeking, don't you think?
They're just trying to conform to non-conformity. Try to stand out from the rest, prove that they're "different"...

Some percentage of gay population is "gay" because of child abuse, but that is a very low factor. Another point is that "born gay" had gay relatives, and family in general from maternal side, which could have impacted on their genes, by increased X chromosome. brain difference as I said above, is developed from early steps, its innate and they evolve with a different perspectives, while growing up it keeps hidden in the dark corners of conscience until it gets triggered and surfaces(If the child had paternal support). If not they are as we could say : Instant-gays. So, gays are born gays, the other opinion of life style choosing is more of a mentally disordered persons who really need help( Those who say its a life style)
