Biaxident - Liquid Tension Experiment

Yet another cover! I bet no one else in Argonath knows this piece, but if you dont - it doen't matter! Just watch the drumming!
Its a mad piece with so many different styles, time signatures, beats, and.. its just general crazyness. Awesome :D
Im actually quite proud of this cover :]

Big bump lol? Miami, I was curious (i thought this was an important question -_-) as to what kind of mics do you use to record your drumset?

Believe it or not - I use one crappy-cheap vocal mic (not even a proper professional mic) as an overhead.
It records the sound kinda okay, then I just EQ the sound and presto! Sounds great. :]

But not as good as it would with proper mics though - which is why I will be getting a set of drum mics sometime. Along with an Audio Interface to plug all the mics into my laptop.. thats gonna cost alot :x

Cos my kit is so big - micing it up will be a challenge. Both technically, and economically.

Right now, I am definatly not doing any covers.
I'm not even posting any drum cover videos at all right now cos I'm busy with college.. so sorry.

I might be able to post some covers in the holidays, which start next week.. but I doubt I can cos I'll have assignments to do.
Really - and this might sound surprising and somewhat silly - but, I think I'll be getting my proper free time at home, back in a few years.. as in, when I have finished College.

Your hand technique is horrible.

I know :D

But, since then it's improved alot though.
For example, I used to hold the sticks so weirdly with my hands so far up them that it ruined so many thing. But really, stupidly of me.. I only realised it was this recently. So I've fixed that issue now, and it's improved so many things from bounce to speed!

OSX Being the only 'decent' OS out there imo..
Logic Express/Pro is the music industry standard for mastering/EQing/mixing etc etc

If you want anything on Windows - then I suggest Audicity cos its free, although I don't use it.. I've heard its great.
But really, when it comes to Windows I am not entirly sure.

I understand Mac may be better for music and photoshop, but I like to use decent, widely-used, not costing an arm and a leg for the same hardware as a pc, OS. What about linux? Anyone?

More videos..

-------------------------

[yt=425,350][/yt]

Sacred Sound Instrumental Section - IQ *REDO*

I decided to redo this, Judging by many people's response to the first video when I showed it to them - it seems to be the most impressive. So I decided to take it to the next level and make it even more impressive O_o I made it even harder by adding alot more to it, and played it with no mistakes >: )

-------------------------

[yt=425,350][/yt]

Frequency - IQ

This song gets more and more harder as it goes by.. so I suggest to watch the whole thing. Its a very very demanding song as it requires alot of stamina.. it took me four takes to get this right and I am very happy with this take :)
