well, id like to speak on behalf of many Argonath players that.. the rate of /report answer isnt at all ideal.

I hear all the time from in-game administrators that the reason they cant answer is they are busy.. ok thats fine. its your job to be busy.

But, if admins have the time for this

Quote
Player 1: Stop DMING noobs!
Quote
Admin 1: /warn Player 1 for flaming

then they have time to respond to a report. and if not, should Report that they cant handle the influx of /reports to a higher level admin etc etc.

Im saying this in a nice way, and giving advice. - "We're overloaded" is an reasonable reason to use sometimes.. but not Everyday. Its in the servers own interest to hire more admins to keep up with the rate
of growth

Call me a whiner, whatever you want, but i've been with Argonath for two years on and off, and the problem isnt getting better. its getting much worse

Bottom line is.. that I hear, and other players hear "We're being overloaded" day after day. The time has come to hire more admins because the ratio of Players:Admins isnt sufficient.

I understand how annoying and how sometimes as an admin you say to yourself "forget it, im tired of this".. So im not speaking from a 'Unaware Noob' standpoint. Ive done the job on other games, and even briefly for Argonath

Both right and wrong mate ... admins are busy but sometimes they just pretend to be I think. The heck I would if I'd gotten sick of admin work ... Wouldnt' you ?

IMO, there is enough Admins, but I think some Admins just want to see "SA:MP Admin" and the stars undernearth their names, and aren't really bothered, thats my honest opinion.

I'm not the only with this opinion. ;)

When you become a Admin, you should realise that most of your playing time might be consumed, you should always consider that before accepting to become a Admin when chosen.

i understand your point here Sickness, Really i think you're right, its not easy for 5 admins to respond to 100 Players, yes Argonath is now more Famous, we got many playes, also new players that usually need help and keep asking for help in main chat and trust me it takes long so they get an answer which sometime makes them angry and they leave the server!

Well, I have to say the opposite. I think the new admins are doing a superb job.

Lets make it clear, if you use /report you attract attention of admins.
If you follow up the report by rulebreaking there is a very big chance you are the one who will be punished.

We do not provide an admin for every player.

So please note for those who have not read this before:

- Admins are under very clear instructions never to punish on a report alone, no matter who is reporting.
- Admins are usually reacting on a report within 30 seconds.
- If admins see the reported player not breaking any rules, they might not punish at all.
- If admins see a new player, they will first explain the rules
- By the time the admins finish checking the report, the ID of the reporter has vanished from the chat window
- If admins see the reporter breaking rules, they will act instantly

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

Go on the offensive if you wish Gandalf, but admins admit to being overwhelmed..

I understand what an admin does, and what is required to lead up to a punishment.

Agree with Gandalf.

Also we are communicating much with /msg and /pm with new players.
Do not think we are doing lazy stuff, we are working hard, catching every report.

And if you think we are busy, help us and /report them.

We know they cant ban on report but the problem is just that the admins just says : we dont got time and so on, i've reported alot of times nothing happends at all, not even a reponse in main chat that admins doesnt have times for reports atm, i've reported rulebreakers a plenty of times when theres been like 15 admins online, cant be true that every single are busy, sorry to say it but please hire some new admins so the admin service will get better.

Well first of all i'd like to speak for myself, i'm a trial moderator now and you guys need to understand being a admin/moderator is a hard job, but i enjoy this work. mostly of the times all we do is following up reports, spectating people, monitoring chat. and i would like to repeat what the previous people said. its Not because you don't see a warn, that no warn has been given. for example, should we /warn every new player? no , we should try and learn him what he did wrong so he can prevent it in the future.

Ofcourse if he repetitively repeats his action wich is against the rules, such as deathmatching. he will receive a warn.

I for one, am trying to respond on Every report i see. yes i make some mistakes, i'm well aware off. However like i stated before, its a hard job and we are only humans.

I'm sure everybody of the admin team does he's best to respond on Every report that comes in, and does his job properly.

Also please note, that our chat is sometimes flooded by reports. you must realise you might not be the only one who is reporting something.
and sometimes we have to spectate the player to witness the rulebreak, or investigate the report. this takes time aswell.

Listen, this topic is getting off-topic.. its about Admins admitting they cannot handle a load.

Simple as that..

All current admins that are online do their job greatly as i see, but its simply to much for some admins to handle..

Im not saying, nor is anybody, you people dont do your job.

Im essentially saying, the server is harming itself by keeping the terrible Admin:Player ratio.

how am i offensive? i'm not trying to be offensive mate.
just stating that its almost impossible.
we have to work in a group, to get the most out of it.
that's why we have a select group of admins.

i didn't create the topic to get a refresh on the process of how people are dealt with.

i created this topic in the hope to increase the Effectiveness of that process..

Admins say they dont like to respond every 10 seconds, and players dont like the long wait time & percentage of people getting away with it constantly.

dosent seem right  :conf:
