Argo not as RP as before?

NOTE: this is not a complaint, so please do not lock or request or whatever, im just discussing this.

So basically, lately it is so hard to have like SERIOUS RP. Since I came back, I've noticed half the time the server is cops chasing suspects or something, and it's very hard anymore to RP because there is always cops chasing suspects around and all, yes, you may say, 'Well thats RP!' Well I'm not talking about 'ohai u want weed or heroin?' RP I'm talking about like 10-50 minute RP, excluding fights or something of any kind, I remember when I first joined here it was ALWAYS RP and was so fun, Like Every other day there was Zombie RP or something and was just so fun and enjoyable, lately, it's hard to get more than 5 people to RP anymore... I find it somewhat saddening that you have to ask people to RP or ask for RP in an RP server (No offence meant, but I'm just saying) especially when a lot just sit around and do nothing but talk in chat and argue, instead of enjoying some RP scenes or something. I still find Argo very fun, but it was a lot better before when RP just started out of nowhere.

I've already given my opinion, now I want to hear yours.

SO what I am asking, Do YOU think that we need more serious RP around? Or do you think it's fine as it is now?

There are some good roleplays from time to time. I recall the NARC getting a search warrant on Violet's house, busting Dean Corleone along with ~200 grams with him. Great roleplay, lasted over an hour and we never got to shoot anybody.

I totally agree, Argonath RPG misses alot of RP. Most freecops: surrender! /gu now! or just like..shotugn outta ass and kill you.
And newbies ramm you, grabb a smg and kill you or carjack you. Too lack of RP.

hi people i have been in the samp server for like 1hour or something and idd for the first time i understand what all the forum talk was about.
when you want real RP just get a group of people together and RP where no one is so you can RP on your own without freecoppers etc.

what makes Argonath so popular, and different from the rest of the servers is, that its a good envorment for RP'ers and regular joes like me, who like to just play the game realisticly.

some people RP 100%, some 60% etc

most servers you are too RP 100%, or 0%

Argonath welcomes all, and accepts all


but yes, the RP part is somewhat failing, and regular players seem to be taking over

I been in 6-7 roleplays lasting 2-3 hours plus within the last two or three weeks, did one today infact. Use your brain and imagination if you wish to create longer roleplays, all I can say. If you are being rulebreaked, report them using the command, and try and teach new players instead of killing them or flaming them and the rest of the server. If you aren't willing to do that, then you shouldn't deserve to moan about anything.

no roleplay what so ever and in a mafia no roleplay really also( i mean with anyone)all it is is evading evading evading freecops need to be taught or sumthing so

You're right Y2JFaN, it is hard to have serious RP. The thing most people do is talking in main chat about real life stuff. I don't think I've had very good RP at all lately, except when I went to GS9 today with the hobos buying some shampkoo and smoked some weed with the hobos and stuff, that was very fun, I gotta say.

Every time I'm alone or with a friend and we try to RP a robbery, for example, then all people do is either one of these:
- Running away as fast as possible just to save the small ammount of cash they might have to give the robber.
- Pull out a gun from their ass and start to shoot, without any RP at all.
- Give 1 dollar and say 'that's all I got.'
- Say they have no money on them.
- Call someone by /Cb or /Pm to back them up, which is very non-RP, how the hell could you call someone to back you up while you're getting robbed?
- OR JUST A SMALL AMMOUNT OF PEOPLE act scared, like you probably would in real-life.

This is just what I have experienced.

I dayly get PM's(Which is supposed to be OOC) by members of groups like Gvardia and Cems saying ''Wanna buy some guns??'', ''Wanna buy some weed??''.. Why don't you try to find me IC instead and ask me there..?
And it has got all about the money now, everyone just Roleplay buying scripted stuff most of the time, like heroin and weed. When I tried to sell RP drugs like cocaine and Ecstacy, then noone buys it, not even if they don't have to pay, just for the sake of the roleplay. And people keep saying 'PM Me' in advertisments and do non-RP ad's without admins doing anything about it.

I do think there should be more roleplay, and some rules that could add more roleplay. For example, removing dual weapons, no bunnyhopping in roleplay, no meta/power-gaming, etc.. But I still find Argonath very fun when I have decent roleplayers to roleplay with.

I tried to rob people with Joey DeRossi today, 5 of 10 or so were willing to RP , 1 with alot of sarcasm but did RP. Some whit shitty RP but still RP. 2 cops who refused 1 was sickness who just drove away, few guys who just ran away.

Argonath has great scripts Etc, but we are missing 1 important thing, RP.  I think RP is alot more important then scripts. Many people play here for scripts not for RP. We should make rules against powergaming/metagaming, Bunnyhopping and all othere non RP bullshit.

To be honest i was considering quiting argonath today after i saw that none RP's
