His father died in the war against Russia before he exited his mother's stomach, and his mother died in cancer just a week after he entered the wide world. You might look at it as something good, you might look at it as something bad - but if it wouldn't be to their death at his early age, perhaps his childhood wouldn't be this good? His aunt took care of him since his mother died, and have been doing it till the age of 22, when he departed to a hotel in San Andreas.

Getting a job in San Andreas is not an easy task, nor getting a house or a car.
After a lot of years working in the "black industry", there's still no job out there that accepts Marcus. Although, getting money ain't a problem. A bike and a house...and some debts, is his inventory. Still, the special gang, will be this. Therefore, he decided to join the Angels of Death.
