Welcome to sunny Vice City, welcome to the gateway of America... Somewhere out there in the vast urban sprawl lies your empire. October 29 2002, Rockstar unleashed its greatest ever title. In a world where crime rules, in a world where anything goes... Cortez, Forelli, Rosenberg, Diaz, Vance and of course, Tommy Vercetti took centre stage, as the 1980s were rolled out. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was declared the greatest game of the year and by 2003 it had graced all the major consoles and platforms globally. Critics, fans and the gaming industry as a whole took to it in wild frenzy.

For a time it stood unparalleled, ranking consistently in the top spots. Even to this day it is revered by some as an "ace" among GTAs, past and present. Take-Two followed up its success with another rendition in '06, which was the last of the games to feature in beautiful Vice.

On July 28, 2006 Argonath RPG opened its doors for the very first time in the dawn of MTA:VC. It was soon followed by VC:MP a year or two later, alongside stirrings in SA:MP and MTA:SA.

A game from a decade ago... yet, the glitz, the glamour and the ghettos live on... 10 years and close on 20 million copies later, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has gone down in history. Following in the steps of its few predecessors, Vice City has joined the elite '10 + club' in Rockstar's showcase. To mark the occasion Rockstar has promised some commemorative pieces, including artwork, promotional items and possibly even never-before-seen content.  There will also be some special deals coming up on select products by the developer and it was announced that iOS and Android devices would be receiving a very special retouched edition of the game. Furthermore, rumour has it that the game may be available on the PlayStation 3 in the near future, sticking to the 7th gen. trend. Coincidentally amidst the celebrations, Rockstar announced a proposed date for the much anticipated GTA: V as well. Along the way, Vice City has picked up a whole host of awards, including  2 Golden Joysticks and 6 BAFTAs. It paved the way for Grand Theft Auto's evolution - a few traces of this 'age-old' title can even be found in the more recent releases of the franchise. To this day Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has been going. Communities similar to Argonath help keep it alive, and hundreds of like-minded players come together on modifications such as MTA:VC and VC:MP daily.

It may be old, it may be a veteran, but it lives on. Surprises are all but a rarity in the island-city of Vice - who knows what you might find? Whether you are taking a trip down memory lane or picking up the game for the first time, come visit the birthplace of Argonath RPG on it's 10th birthday.

OC - Oh cock. - A term usually used by Todor when things seem to screw up if you know what I mean

C- C Division: The elite division of the Argonath SAMP FBI, headed by Jaaskaa.

Carhartt Jr: A person who brings rules from other Servers on SAMP into Argonath and tries to impose them on others in Argonath, mistakenly seeing it as "being more RP".

Cavity Search: A search into an arrested criminal's body cavities that doubles as capital punishment if done without lube.

Chase Greggor: A bipolar Argonath Player who rapes ass if he isn't kicking it. Specializes in cavity search. (Also see: Bipolar)

J- Jcstodds: An Argonath Playre, also a mad scientist known to conduct all sorts of crazy experiments in Area 69 and to make illegal immigrants swim to Mexico. Posesses a sense of humor that has contributed to his fame in the ARPD.

JDC: An Argonath Player, also a zombie FBI agent who fiercely opposes Carhartt Jrs. His unusual method of carrying out his FBI duties has caused others to mistake him for a terrorist. Known to be the best cavity searcher in FBI after Chase and to have introduced the use of Tokio Hotel MP3s in interrogations. Often confused with Jcstodds. (Also see: Tobi)

L- Lemon: A player known to be AFK nearly all the time, the most famous being RON. The term originated in Argonath MTAVC, explaining why the majority of players do not know its meaning.

M- Mushroom: RON's affectionate term for Argonath Players.

T- Teabag: A gruesome method of punishment in Argonath SAMP that borders on the illegal. Most victims of this are high-ranked enforcement, particularly Vince.

Tobi: An odd bipolar entity feared by several Argonath MTA:VC players because of his tendency to brutally rape people who call him a bad boy. Has a strong connection to JDC.
