I believe he's asking about what would happen if you weren't there to collect your award, in case you won.

My answer to this would be; nothing at all. You'll most likely get it sooner or later.

Yeah you'd will get it sooner or later if you couldn't make it...If you think you have a chance of getting an award, you should put in an effort to get there at least, incase you do.
