The Las Venturas Marathon Ended Up In Happiness!

As the headline says: Las Venturas Marathon ended up in happiness! Thanks to the LV major Sharphis, all the goodworking admins and all the tough runners, this could be finished succesfully!

Maybe it's not my thing to do this topic, but i (RobbyMeister at SFARP) wants to share my pictures and a little story below:

Around 21:00 CET everybody was gathered, and everything seem to start well. A while later, the whole contest got crashed by some minigunners coming from Grove Street, Los Santos, and killed a quarter of the conests.

After this, the killed people respawned again, and was ready to run!

The race started again around 21:35 - 21:40 without any trouble. People ran and ran, with LV major Sharphis on NRG-500 a short distance before them. It was also loads of cops and medics, if anything would happen.
From the beginning, it looked like ALS' rookie Hell_89 should win, as he was a pretty long distance before the other runners.


Hell_89 was in the lead in the beginning.

The marathon was going on without any troubles, as there was so many guards and admins, and the race switched leaders constantly. Unfortunately, i don't have pictures of all the leaders during the race. In the end, the struggle seem to be between GSF's Daaan and S' LoveMeister, as they were sprinting as hard and fast as they could. Finally, they arrived to the finish line where watchers stood and waited with high expectations. Daaan came in 1st place and LoveMeister in 2nd. Who the 3rd was, i don't know, as he wasn't on the after-party. Maybe someone else knows?


Everybody arrived to the finish-line, and it was a big mess of people!

After the race, it was time for giving out the prices and to have after-party at the Dance Club in Las Venturas. Sharphis stood on stage with Daaan and had allready called the two runners up to stage, when LoveMeister was a bit late because of a timeout. When LoveMeister arrived to the party, Sharphis gave the prices to the two runners. Daaan, the winner, got $30 000 and LoveMeister got $25 000. After this, Sharphis gave out a price of $2000 to every runner and contributer of the marathon. The price money was sponsored by the City of Las Venturas.


The after-party at the dance club in Las Venturas went well, and everybody got their prices.

Summary:

A very good event, and there was around 50 contributers in the event. I want to give a special thank you to the LV major Sharphis, all admins, security staff and all tough runners of the marathon. I hope this event helped Las Venturas to get more popularity than before.
I also have to give Gandalf extra cred for his very nice choice of outfit this evening. Clown-Gandalf is something we want to see more of!

San Andreas marathon?! And i didn't even had energy for the Las Venturas Marathon! That's why i was reporter :P

We were recording the whole marathon... But my driver did not understand me correct, so all we were doing - recording the first group only... I saw Hell_89 "cheated", as on my records he was not even running in front of others, so I decided to watch movie later to see how he became the "leader"...

OMG, you be quiet! Just cos I ran out of energy at the end and Gandalf ran past me. It wasn't my fault, a UFO attacked me half way round...
