Tell me why people love this game so badly. The battles suck, you can't play multiplayer, the story itself isn't entertaining or attractive in any way. Sure you can create characters and all that blah, but AC:Revelations is IMO alot more inspiring. (I regularly don't even fancy these type of games)

Bla.Bla.Bla.
Your words "The Story itself" are enough to say that you have no idea what this game is about.
It has several long ass main questlines and besides that hundreds of miscellaneous quests and questlines.
There are plenty of fractions and parties you can join, you can form your character as you like.
The whole world and its quests is very complex. Also, you'll find many connections to older TES games.
I barely believe you are in a position to judge this game.

Yes, the fighting system (especially melee) is kind of boring. It lacks a V.A.T.S. mode like in FO3, but this is an SPRPG (and unlike FO3 with less shooter aspects), so fighting is not the main focus.

You compare this to Assassins Creed, which is considered a completely different type of game. Action Adventure =/= SPRPG
Before you start moaning: NO I don't hate AC. YES I have all AC games except Revelations (which I'll get as soon as it's released in germany) and those shitty Android/iPhone or whatever the fuck versions.

And in my honest opinion Assasins Creed sucks ass.
It's too repetetive and there is no improvement from AC 1. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop and killing people from behind get's boring as f**k.

AC 2 is very completely different to 1. Why all this rambling?
Quests are versatile, the ways to kill people are versatile.
And also, the quest- and storyline is interesting. (Compared to AC1)
