The Formation.

^{The Ancelotti Family has been traced back to around the mid 1940's, known to have been formed on the business of selling forbidden contraband to American Soldiers during the second world war. Nowadays they are recognized as one of Liberty Cities, San Andreas and Vice Cities main criminal influences to have operated through the 20th and 21st centuries. The organisation is rumoured to be heavily invested in the trade of heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, as well as money laundering and gambling, both legal and illegal.}

An episode from Liberty City.

^{After the Ancelotti family had reached stability in around the 1970s  by achieving a place in the Liberty City Commission, a dangerous conflict arose between the Ancelottis and the Pegorino Crime Family due to escalated gang-land violence resulting in the arrest of Romeo Ancelotti, (son of Giovanni Ancelotti, the head of the family during this period) and the  death of Jimmy Pegorinos wife Angela Pegorino. Due to this, the Ancelottis were forced to employ albanian muscle to defend themselves against the Pegorinos and the McReary Mobs constant gang-land styled attacks. A year or two after the conviction of Romeo Ancelotti, it had become known  that he was due to be released from prison after serving a reduced sentence  of ten years imprisonment. This enfuriated the Pegorinos as Giovanni was  about to reclaim what he had lost during the battle, when Jimmys wife could  never be returned to him. Rumour had it that Romeos release was to cause one of the largest blood baths in Liberty Cities organised crime history which caused  more conflict throughout the Commission, resulting in the attempted  assassination of Romeo in prison. Several days prior to Romeos release, Giovanni was successively assassinated in his Portland mansion. This caused a power  struggle between the Ancelottis and the Pegorinos which birthed several  violent wars, severely damaging both families, and due to all of the attention the  brutal attacks were shining on the un-involved organised crime families, the commission made efforts to kill off Jimmy Pegorino to make peace. The Pegorino family collapsed soon after the death of its don and the Ancelottis were kicked from the Commission and left to struggle against the local gangs in  Alderney City for survival. Romeo Ancelotti took the remainder of the families finances and moved to a more promising development, Vice City.}

Viva Vice City.

^{After the fall of the family in Liberty City, Romeo took what his father  had left behind and attempted to set up in Vice City to rebuild the family name. The cities criminal underworld was a wreck after a violent power struggle between the Vercetti Family and the Eighth Avenue Furies which  resulted in Furies dominance, but had left the Furies severely under- gunned. Klaus, the leader of the furies, took Romeos arrival as a  blessing and had hired him straight away to help protect them while  dealing business with foreign Syndicates. The Corleone Family and  the Eighth Avenue Furies had built a stable business connection and  did business over the several years that Romeo worked with them. On the side-lines, though, Romeo had been talking with some local  gangsters with intentions of back-stabbing the EAFs at a vital deal between them and the Corleone Family. The deal consisted of the sale of 100 kilos of pure San Andreas heroin for the EAFs to distribute  through the Cherry Poppers ice cream company and to bleed it throughout  the city. When Romeo had heard about the substantial value of the deal (around $670,000.00) he formed a crew of around 8 men and headed to the deal, where he executed the Corleone and EAF representatives and made off the drugs.}

The Rise and Fall.

^{Before long, the drugs were sold on the streets and Romeo had already gained connections of his own with San Andreas families and began dealing with them, taking the place of the EAF gang which soon disappeared into the shadows. Police were becoming irritable at Romeos take-over as the EAF gang had been bribing the PD a substantial amount of money to allow  them to distribute the drugs on to the streets, so prepared an officer to work undercover for the family and soon climbed the ranks to Capobastone, which was used against the family to reveal all of the secret storage units for the drugs and the un-laundered money storages which the police had been keeping tabs on months afterwards unnoticed, until finally they had assembled a special  forces unit which went under the name White Shadows to yet again bring the Ancelotti Empire to its knees. After months of preparation and months more of illegal activity, the WS team struck in the dead of night on all storage facilities  simultaneously, completely siezing the Ancelottis heroin and illegal money stores, while  finding enough evidence to raid the main warehouse in Little Haiti. Romeo didn't know.}

The Last Stand.

^{Several months after the dawn raids took place, Romeo was arrested  when the evidence had been processed and the result was clear enough  to use in court. While being held in the Vice City PD awaiting trial, Romeo escaped custody and fled to the airport where he was soon confronted by Marco (the undercover officer) and Leonardo (the head - of the dawn raids) which resulted in both officers being drawn  in to a shootout leaving them dangerously Injured. Romeo fled to San Andreas.
Welcome to San Andreas. Upon entering the San Andreas state, Romeo instantly took up working  for the Corleone family who had been kind enough to employ him with an FBI warrant for his arrest, they taught him the goings-on of the San Andreas  underworld and Romeo soon became very knowledgeable of the system. He began working for other families expanding in to the city of San Fierro and soon became very fond of the landscape and opportunity the city held, soon using his criminal earnings to purchase a small house on the outskirts of the San Fierro Golf Resort. After some very profitable deals with the Gvardia  and Corleone families, Romeo became fairly wealthy earning more and more from investing his laundered money in to real estate. His dreams became reality when a development in Las Venturas currently known as the Emerald Isle  received a substantial offer of 2.4million dollars which he gladly accepted, and with the help of his criminal contacts, Romeo placed an offer on the Country club he had lived in the shadow of for so long and won the auction without contest. He had now established himself in San Andreas.}

The San Fierro Riots.

^{After conflicts between the Fierro Triangle, the Diablos gang had split  from the alliance and called for the help of San Fierros most despised enemy, the Stracci Family. This had caused conflict between Ancelotti and Stracci which resulted in gang-land killings all over the map. Infuriated, Romeo confronted Jonathan Stracci, the current leader of Stracci, insulting him and his family and threatening him with certain death, in reaction to this, Jonathan suggested a battle to end the fight between all... Gvardia, Stracci, Ancelotti, Diablos, and Marques. The war took place at the Airport, The Ancelottis, Marques and Gvardias had set up barricades throughout the underground parking lot with over 40  mobsters awaiting the fated moment to arise, the Straccis arrived quickly and skilfully powering through the carpark past the barricades, the spun around and hit in the back entrance opening, resulting in heavy firing from both sides almost instantly. The blood-bath lasted for over an hour, ending  only when the SAPD arrived to the deadly scene. After the remaining mobsters fought and fled the police the true damage was revealed, as both Pablo, Jonathan and Romeo had been severely injured in the battle, Romeo being confined to his mansion and his private doctor for months. Jonathan fled the state to avoid federal arrest and Pablo is currently still laying low in the Garcia area of San Fierro, the families looked back on the Blood-Bath as a reminder of how things once were so out of control and it is currently looked upon as a reminder of how close to extinction the main groups involved had become.}

The New San Andreas.

^{After the Fierro Riots, the surviving organisations met together secretly to discuss the problems which had caused the conflict, coming to the agreement that such battles were of no constructive use and the differences were now put aside and the groups had decided a neutral relationship would be much more  beneficial to all. Business remains fruitful and the families remain strong, Ancelotti had finally established itself and things improved dramatically until it had taken its rightful place as one of the four families of San Andreas, which then proved to increase the families wealth and power.}

End of an Era.

^{After years of successful business, Romeo fell ill and retired, leaving the family in the hands of his friend and protégé, Comrey Ancelotti. Business was slow for a while, and it took the other organisations some time to come to terms with and accept Comrey as the new head of the Ancelotti Family. In time, however, Comrey was recognised as the successor. Business slowly started to increase again and the money started to flow in, yet it never quite reached previous levels. Nonetheless, the Family lived on, and so did the name.}

The Decline and Rebirth.

^{As the years went by, a conflict emerged in San Fierro between two close friends, the Gvardias and the Ancelottis. Antonio Gvardia, the acting head of Gvardia at the time, decided to monopolise the drug marked of San Fierro, and thus creating a rift between the allies. It is unclear who fired the first bullet, but it soon escalated to an armed conflict between the two old allied families. Comrey, infuriated, broke off the alliance. Gvardia attempted to mend the situation, get back on peaceful terms, but there was no way around it; Ancelotti was insulted. As if the situation was not bad enough already, the FBI decided to make a move on Comrey, forcing him to flee to Vice City and leaving Philip Ancelotti as the de facto head of the family. At this point the records get a little fuzzy. Numerous FBI raids on Ancelotti as well as disorganisation in the family left it in a state of disarray, and what truly happened might be lost to time. By the time Comrey came back to San Andreas, all was lost. Avispa was gone, all business disappeared, all assets were seized, and Philip was mysteriously missing. The family was effectively dead. With no place to call home, the head of Ancelotti was in a very unfavourable situation. This is where Gvardia came back into the picture, showing their true colours as loyal allies to the end. Comrey was welcomed back to San Fierro with open arms, and the two families resumed relations as if no conflict ever happened, everything forgiven and forgotten. Not willing to give up, the only logical choice was to re-establish Ancelotti - and with the old alliance back together, a brand new Ancelotti Empire was already well on its way.}
