Just avoid cops, If they suspect you, /gu and get jailed/investigated and leave it at that. I only RP with cops I know well like Trane for example. We spent two hours or so in mordor today roleplaying because I know I can trust him to play fairly. Just find the cops you know you can work with. If you know ones you cannot work with, keep it dry and plain. Give them no reason to moan and get outta' there as fast as you can.
